🕊️ The Storm Was Still Raging, but Something in Me Changed

I used to think answered prayer meant God would change the circumstances.
Then I spent seven days beside my son Logan in the ICU.
The storm didn’t immediately stop. The fear and uncertainty were still there. We were still praying desperately for the miracle we wanted.
Yet in the middle of it all, God gave me a peace that didn’t match what was happening around me. 💙
He gave me strength when I had none of my own.
He gave me grace for the next moment when thinking about tomorrow felt impossible.
And He reminded me that I was not walking through that ICU alone. 🙏🏻

Sometimes the miracle we’re asking for and the way God meets us in the storm don’t look the way we expected.
But even in our darkest moments, God is still there. 🕊️

Have you ever felt God calm your heart even though your circumstances hadn’t changed?

God didn’t calm the storm immediately while Logan was in the ICU. I...

💙 I Thought I Would See Those Blue Eyes Again

I can still remember looking into Logan’s beautiful blue eyes in that ICU room.

At the time, I didn’t know I was looking into them for the very last time.

When the doctors told us they needed to place Logan into a medically induced coma, my heart held tightly to hope. I believed this was simply another step toward helping my son heal—another step toward the day he would open those eyes again and look at me.

As his mama, I never allowed myself to imagine anything different.

But he never opened those beautiful blue eyes again. 💔

That realization is still one of the hardest parts of Logan’s journey for me to put into words.

In Episode 24 of Logan’s Beautiful Journey Home, I share what happened during those moments in the ICU as the doctors fought to save my son’s life and our family continued praying, believing, and holding onto every ounce of hope we had.

And somehow, in a room filled with so much uncertainty, God gave me a peace that made no sense for what was happening around me.🕊️

I wasn’t okay.
My son wasn’t okay.
Nothing about what we were facing was okay.

But God was there.

I have learned that faith doesn’t always look like being strong. Sometimes faith looks like standing beside your child’s hospital bed with tears in your eyes and a breaking heart, whispering, “God, I still trust You.”🙏🏻

If you are walking through grief, loss, or a season where you cannot understand what God is doing, I pray Logan’s story reminds you that you do not have to see the road ahead to know that God is walking it with you.

Episode 24 is available now, and I would be honored for you to continue walking through Logan’s story with me. 💙🕊️

Every time you watch, share, or speak Logan’s name, you are helping me keep his beautiful memory and legacy alive.

With love always,
Angela and Logan 💙🕊️

💙 The Peace I Felt Made No Sense
“How did you survive those seven days in the ICU with Logan?”
I’ve been asked that question many times.
And my answer is simple:
I didn’t survive them because I was strong. I survived them because God was. 🕊️
Nothing was okay.
My son was fighting for his life, and I was facing circumstances no mother is ever prepared to face.
Yet in the middle of that ICU room, surrounded by machines, doctors, uncertainty, and fear…
I felt peace.
Not because I knew everything would turn out the way I desperately wanted.
Not because I understood what God was doing.
But because His presence never left that room. 🙏
Looking back, I know I wasn’t carrying myself through those seven days.
God was carrying me.
And maybe that’s what someone walking through their own impossible season needs to hear today:
You don’t have to understand what God is doing to trust that He is still there. 💙
I share more about this unexplainable peace in Episode 23 of Logan’s Beautiful Journey Home.

We Couldn't See What God Was Doing 💙
While Lisa and I sat in heavy traffic, praying and desperately trying to get to Houston, my son Logan was already in the air.
Life Flight was carrying him to Memorial Hermann Hospital.
We knew where Logan was going.
What I couldn't see was what God was doing.
In those moments, all I could see was the traffic in front of us, the fear inside me, and the miles separating this mama from her son.
But looking back now, I see something I couldn't see then.
God was already there.
He was already with Logan in that helicopter.
He was already at the hospital before we arrived.
He was already moving in ways I wouldn't begin to understand until much later.
Sometimes faith isn't seeing God's plan clearly.
Sometimes faith is whispering, "God, I trust You," when you can't see anything beyond the next moment.
And sometimes it's only when we look back that we realize…
He was there the whole time. 🕊️

I couldn't see what God was doing. 💙While Lisa and I prayed our w...

Please donate if you can 🕊️🙏🏻❤️✝️

We recently learned of a need within Jasper ISD, and when there’s a need in our community, we want to do what we can to help meet it.

For the next two Sundays, we’ll be collecting personal care and hygiene items to help support Jasper ISD students. The graphic below includes a list of the specific items needed and which items should be travel size.

Every donation, big or small, helps us come alongside students in a practical way and remind them that their community cares ❤️

You can drop your donations off at the connect center.

💙 Even in the ICU, He Was Still Logan

When we finally saw Logan in the ICU, he was fighting for his life.
There were machines everywhere, doctors surrounding him, and more fear than I can put into words.

As they prepared Logan for brain monitoring, the technician had to shave small patches of his hair.
And if you knew my son, you already know where this is going. 🥹
Logan cared about his hair. A LOT.

He looked over at Lisa and me and silently started mouthing cuss words at the technician. 😂💙

And somehow, in the middle of one of the hardest moments of our lives, we almost laughed.
For just a few seconds, the machines faded into the background.

There was my boy.
His personality. His attitude. His humor.
Even while fighting for his life, he was still Logan. 🕊️

Looking back, that tiny moment has become such a precious memory. Sometimes the memories that make us smile are tucked right inside the ones that hurt the most.

💙 This is just one unforgettable moment from Episode 23 of Logan’s Beautiful Journey Home.

“The peace I never expected”
There are moments in life that change you forever.
Walking into Logan's ICU room was one of those moments.

I expected to be overwhelmed by fear.
Instead, I felt surrounded by a peace that made no earthly sense.

It wasn't because everything was okay.
It wasn't because I knew what would happen next.
It was because I believe God was already in that room before I ever
arrived.

His presence became my strength when I had none left.

If you're walking through grief, illness, or uncertainty today, I pray you know that God goes before you.
Even when your heart is breaking...
He is already there.

❤️ If this message encouraged you, would you share it with someone who needs a reminder that God never leaves us?

“God was waiting before I arrived”
As I walked toward Logan's ICU room at Memorial Hermann, I was bracing myself for the worst moment of my life.
I expected panic.
I expected heartbreak.
I expected fear.
What I didn't expect.....was the overwhelming peace that filled that room.

That moment became the beginning of a journey where God revealed His presence over and over again. Looking back, I can see His fingerprints on every step, even when I couldn't see them in the moment.

If you're struggling today, I hope this episode reminds you that God is already where you're headed.
He never leaves.
He never forsakes.
He is faithful.
