🎨 Check out what our Art students have been creating under the guidance of our amazing Art Lead Learner, Mrs. McColl!
Inspired by the Pop Art era of Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, students created a larger-than-life 3D version of their favorite snack for their “My Favorite Snack” art project. The results are colorful, creative, and definitely good enough to eat!
🎨 The Neurographic art piece is the introductory artwork that teaches 7th graders that art, science, and mental health can work together through the creative process. Students were to think of a challenge and write it on the back of their paper. They were then asked to simply draw doodles with a Sharpie. When two lines crossed, creating four corners, they were instructed to round off all corners, mindlessly eliminating the stress caused by their challenge. Once all corners were rounded, the learners used watercolor to bring their art piece to life. The learners began with a stressful mindset around their challenge and found out that their mood could change through Art.
Keep creating, keep achieving, and keep leveling up, Patriots! ❤️💙
