Dear Shaw Butte Families,

I am writing to share some important personal news with you.

After much reflection, I have made the decision to retire from principal at Shaw Butte Elementary School at the end of the school year. This was not an easy decision, as being part of this school community has been a wonderful experience for me personally.

Serving our students and working alongside such dedicated families and staff has brought me immense joy and pride. I am deeply grateful for the trust you have placed in me and for the many meaningful relationships we have built over the last four years.

While I am looking forward to my next chapter, I will truly miss the daily connections, the energy of our students, and the shared commitment to learning that makes this community so special.

Please know that the school is committed to a smooth transition, and more information will be shared as plans for the next principal for the 2026–2027 school year are finalized.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. It has been an honor to serve you and your children, and the fabulous staff we have at The Butte!
