Will be taking submission til Monday the 27th!

We’re baaaaack! While flittermouse has changed and I was ready to put it to sleep, you all keep begging me to bring post mortems back. So here we are, going forward focusing on publishing and wherever else we may end up.

Call for Submissions: Post Mortems 2: Pushing Daisies
The dead don’t always stay buried… and sometimes, they have stories left to tell.
We are now open for submissions to Post Mortems 2: Pushing Daisies, an upcoming horror anthology seeking chilling, evocative tales from writers ready to explore what lingers beyond the grave.
👻
What We’re Looking For:
We invite horror authors (18+) to submit original short stories that delve into:
Ghosts, hauntings, and restless spirits
The eerie beauty and decay of death
Tales inspired by (or set in) the Victorian era
Mourning rituals, graveyards, spiritualism, and the macabre
Anything that captures the delicate line between death and what comes after
👻
Submission Guidelines:
Authors must be 18 years or older
Original work only
Word Count Range 1,000–6,000
Simultaneous submissions allowed
Deadline is April 24th, 2026
While we don’t have a budget for payment, each author will receive 1 copy of the published book and will be able to purchase books at cost to sell at retail price.
Submit to [email protected]
👻
Tone & Style:
We are especially drawn to stories with rich atmosphere, emotional depth, and a strong sense of place. Think fog-drenched cemeteries, whispered séances, black crepe, and the quiet horror of something not quite at rest.
👻
If you previously submitted for the December edition, please let me know if you would like to be included in this upcoming spring edition.

Grief is a journey that looks different for everyone. In this supportive and reflective class, participants will be guided to write a heartfelt letter to a loved one they’ve lost, giving space to say what was left unsaid, share memories, or simply connect. ❤️‍🩹

Through gentle prompts and open discussion, we will explore how writing can help us process pain, honor our relationships, and begin to find healing. Participants will have the opportunity to share their letters (if they feel comfortable), listen to others, and connect in a safe, compassionate space where all emotions are welcome. You will be able to keep your letter to yourself or place it in our grief mailbox.

Whether your loss is recent or years past, this class offered a space for remembrance, expression, and connection. This will be a welcoming, non-judgmental group with discussion for those who wish to share.

There will also be coffee! ☕️

Class is in person only at Curious Nature 4346 N 7th Ave

$25 class fee is per person, per seat.

THERE ARE NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES OF ANY KIND.
