1991 TGB Class Reunion

This is for us to communicate about the 1991 TGB Class Reunion (and other class years near ours).

03/01/2026

Good morning, Bruins! This class of 1991 reunion is about celebrating a time we all experienced together! We were lucky enough to meet each other, and experience high school pre-internet, pre-social media, where we actually went to the movies to see the biggest blockbusters, but were just starting to be able to rent movies at Blockbuster to watch at home! We cruised MetroCenter, Central & some of us cruised Mill Ave. It was a different time, and that made us different people than those who came before us and those that have been born since. We are Generation X, and we are one of a kind!

That’s why we want to celebrate US! That’s why we want YOU to attend! That’s why we want YOUR input! That’s why we want YOU to invite your friends from TGB to this page and this reunion! Without YOU, this reunion will not be a success!

So, with that said, we have 5 requests:

1) First & foremost, there are only a handful of us who have committed to planning the 1991 reunion. We could really use help. If you’ve offered to help, please DM this page or my personal page with your email address, so we can add you to our planning committee conversation.

If you haven’t told us you want to volunteer but you would like to, please let us know!

2) We need suggestions on a venue. We have only had one person reach out with a suggestion, and I’m not sure that location will work. Unfortunately, it seems like it would be too loud for us to be able to reconnect and reminisce. Trust me, we’re not trying to be picky. We just want the venue to fit the circumstances.

We prefer a more centrally located venue, since our graduates are situated all across the valley (and of course, outside of the valley and Az).

3) We need a firm date for the reunion. September looks like the best time, since a spring reunion doesn’t give us enough time to plan it.

Please feel free to comment on here with suggestions, dates which might not work for you or that are ideal, or really anything you’d like to voice about the planning. We need more participation if we want this to be a fun and memorable event for everyone! 🎉🥂🫶

4) It’s a touch economy, so we’re trying to keep costs down. So, please let us know if you prefer a “pay to attend” more formal event, or if you want a more casual event like recent years have put together where you don’t have to pay to attend & just buy your own food or drink in a happy hour type setting.

5) Lastly, invite TGB alumni to this page! The more the merrier! There’s literally no point in us putting in effort to put on a reunion for like 10-15 people. I can text those people to invite them to happy hour. lol. We want this to be as inclusive as we can and reach out to as many former TGB classmates of 1991 (with special invites for classes 1988-1994 to come celebrate with us).

You can reach out to me, literally, any time if you have questions or comments by DM. If it’s easier to text or call, I can provide my cell phone. I just don’t like ever posting it on a public FB page.

Good morning, Bruins! We are asking that if there is anyone who would like to help us plan this event that they send this page their email address. We are going to use Basecamp, a project management software, to plan the event. We need your email address to invite you to it. So far, we have Lori’s, Janne’s and Amy P is sending the invites. Of course, mine is included (Kriste Parlin). Please DM it to this page, for your privacy. If you don’t care who receives it, feel free to leave it in the comments instead. Thank you! I hope you have an amazing day!

Good afternoon, everyone. We are hoping to have the reunion at a more centralized location, since our graduates are dispersed throughout the valley. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or, even better, does anyone own a bar or restaurant that could benefit from our patronage? I’m sure we’d all love to support a TGB owned establishment!

Good morning. We’ll be working to set a date for this reunion soon. We are looking at possibly April or May of 2026. We just wanted to give you a heads up in case you might be traveling to join us. We should be locking down the date soon, and we’ll notify everyone on here.

If you have friends from Trevor (classes 1988-1994) you would like to invite to the page, please feel free to do so. This is the 35 year reunion for the class of 1991, but we’d love to enjoy the company of other classmates from years we attended school with at TGB!

Updates will be coming soon. We’ll definitely have more updates in the new year. If you’d like to help us plan the reunion or if you have questions, please reach out to the page or contact Kriste Melcher at https://www.facebook.com/kriste.melcher. Thank you!

We’re up to 36 people who have followed this page in just under 24 hours. Let’s share it so we invite anyone we think may want to join us from TGB!

By the way, does anyone have a good, free website we should use for people to RSVP when we figure out the location and date/time?

Hi, TGB Alumni! The class of 1991 wasn’t fortunate enough to host a 30 year reunion due to COVID. So, we’re going to get together for a 35 year reunion in 2026. Kyle Gomez, Lori Townsend, Amy Remfrey, and I (Kriste Parlin - now Kriste Melcher) will be organizing it. We would be happy to have people sign up to help. We are in the embryo stage of this process. Nothing has been planned. However, the 1st steps were to get some people willing to help & start a FB page about it. So, here we are! I’m going to start inviting people to the page. I encourage all of you to do the same. Obviously, anyone from the class of 1991 is welcome. We’re also opening this up to the class of 1988-1994, since we went to school with all of those classes during our 4 year journey at TGB! I can’t wait to see you all at the reunion. We’ll keep you posted!
