The solitude and stillness of this canyon made me feel so small, but it reminded me of how strong and capable I am! It was a bit of challenge due to the water, mud, and scrambling but it was so fun and empowering! It felt incredible to rinse off the mud and sweat in the mighty Colorado River!

I wasn’t sure where I was headed when I got on the road Thursday evening, with a last minute change in plans, but I am so glad I decided to finally make it to see this view and hike down to the river for a rewarding dip in the mighty Colorado!

The things I love about solo travel is that you don’t have to stick to an itinerary, you can go at your own pace, and I’m able to slow my mind and listen to my heart. It’s incredibly empowering and healing for me.

It’s crazy how quickly things can change, wether it’s on the water or in life, we have to stay strong, adapt, and overcome. Hope you all are having a great start to the week!
