HUGE round of applause for two incredible women at Maryland — Lisa Hayes, our Academic Intervention Specialist and Britney Villa, our Social Worker! 👏✨

While they serve in very different roles on our campus, they share two very important things in common. First, they are among the most dedicated, selfless, and hardworking people you will ever meet. Both are truly the fuel behind so many wonderful achievements and successes at Maryland, often working behind the scenes to support our students, staff, families, and even initiatives across the District. Their commitment to this community is unwavering, and they give their hearts to this work every single day!

Second, they are BOTH recipients of one of the highest honors in our District — the Lamp of Learning Award! 🏆 This recognition is so well deserved, and we could not be more proud to celebrate them. Maryland is incredibly lucky to have these two amazing women as part of our community! 💙 Congratulations to you both!

The impact she has made on our students, families, and staff is truly immeasurable, and our school is a better place because of her compassion, dedication, and heart. Maryland is so grateful to have her and the difference she makes every single day! 🌟
