Earlington Secondary School Dominates as Number One in Phoenix and Beyond

Phoenix – Earlington Secondary School has solidified its reputation as a centre of academic excellence by achieving an outstanding 100% pass rate in the 2024 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations. With an impressive 88.62% Bachelor pass rate, the school has once again proven its commitment to academic success.

Of the 15 subjects offered, 14 recorded a 100% pass rate, reflecting the dedication of both learners and educators. This incredible achievement has positioned Earlington as the number one school in the Phoenix Central Circuit and the number one school in the entire Mafukuzela Gandhi CMC, which includes Phoenix, Verulam, Tongaat, Inanda, and KwaMashu.

Further cementing its dominance, many of Earlington's educators were recognised with the Top Teacher Award at both the Phoenix Central Circuit Awards and the Mafukuzela Gandhi CMC Awards. The following teachers received the CMC Top Teacher Award for their outstanding results:

Adding to the school’s individual successes,

Risendran Naidoo from Earlington Secondary School was named the number one learner in the Quintile 5 category in the Mafukuzela Gandhi CMC, a remarkable achievement that showcases the calibre of learners at the school.

As a testament to its continued excellence, Earlington was also honoured with the prestigious Circuit Education Specialist (CES) Award for being the best-performing school in the Mafukuzela Gandhi CMC.

With its status as the number one school in both Phoenix Central and the entire Mafukuzela Gandhi CMC, Earlington Secondary School continues to set the benchmark for academic excellence, proving that dedication and perseverance lead to extraordinary success.
