Desert Vista Band

⚡️New things on the horizon! This school year is coming to an end, but the band program is gearing up for an amazing 26-27 season of music!

Marching band start up day is almost here! ⚡️ Saturday May 9! The staff is excited. The returning members are excited. And hoping all of the new members are equally excited to start up the next season!

Our Band Banquet is coming up on Friday May 8! We can’t wait!⚡️

Wednesday May 6⚡️ The auditorium renovations are starting so our Pops concert will take place in the large gym at Desert Vista. The seats might not be as comfortable, but the music will still be amazing! Don’t miss it!

Congratulations to these six amazing musicians that performed with the AZ All State Band yesterday! DV also had students in the choir and orchestra. So proud of this musical community⚡️

Our New Member Meeting ⚡️is specifically designed for all middle school families (as well as any new DV families) who are interested in joining the Desert Vista Marching Band and Color Guard. This meeting will provide an overview of our program, what to expect during the season, and important registration details.
Our Kick Off Day ⚡️is always one of our favorite days of the year! While the full schedule will be shared soon, the day will begin with a brief informational meeting for both parents and students. Students will then stay for the remainder of the day for a marching band showcase experience.

Congratulations to our Thunderband students who auditioned for the 2026 All-State Band & Orchestra Ensembles! Being invited to audition at this level is an incredible honor and a testament to the dedication, preparation, and musicianship these students bring to their craft.

We are so proud of every Thunderband student who stepped into the audition room and represented Desert Vista with excellence. Your commitment and courage to perform at this level is truly inspiring.

And a special congratulations to those who earned a place in the 2026 All-State Band & Orchestra Ensembles — an outstanding accomplishment! We are incredibly proud of you and can’t wait to see all that you continue to achieve.

Wind Ensemble and Symphonic/Concert Band were both awarded Superior with Distinction at today’s festival!⚡️

Congratulations to these 25 band students who performed in the regional band and orchestra!Their hard work was seen and heard on the stage! Choir, band and orchestra were all wonderful and had 40 musicians from Desert Vista represented. Way to go DV!⚡️
