Hello there friends š
This is us. Gobbled in motherhood and navigating a path with new teeth.
I never thought Iād be a mom, and here I am. Sharing a view with a little dude who is growing me just as much as I am growing him.
He has taught me patience and curiosity. He has shown me that growling and giggles release a very special endorphin. And if I pay close attention, there is learning in every moment.
I've been sending out resumes. Paper tells me Iām a sales professional. But I'm not applying for sales jobs. Because Iād rather write. And its interesting how algorithms eat you up and spit you out. How the world chooses to place us in boxes. And Motherhood does that a little too. Has anyone else struggled with identity after becoming a parent? Itās a strange feeling.
But becoming a parent has also taught me that everything is not as it seems. I don't have to be confined to the etchings of a resume or what society tells me I am. Or who I tell me I am.
Itās okay to start something and make a turn and another turn and another. Because a fulfilled life is carved with thousands of choices. And if we don't say yes we will never know what's around the bend.
So anyway - Wild & Fre is changing too. My journals and my childrenās book, Dizzy Dottie are still available through Amazon.
I've taken down workshop offerings from my website. At this time, itās me who needs to workshop my own projects. And I must finish a manuscript and find it a home that will give it wings.
Thanks for hanging out - for cheering on new versions of who we are and who we might become. Because all of us deserve a detour. And its never too late to take one. š
