Growth mindset is really important for all of us, but especially critical for our students who feel like they can’t learn at high levels or achieve their goals. We can, absolutely, learn and master new skills. A growth mindset, a plan in place, and support are the key components needed!

What if your kid didn’t have a great first day at school? They are not alone. Many students and parents are feeling the same way which can be defeating, and anxiety producing. We don’t have all the answers, but we do know that empathy goes a long way and realizing that others are in the “same boat” helps.

Being back to school can be challenging for all children, but it is usually particularly difficult for students with learning disabilities. The summer provides a break from school and learning related issues- social, emotional, behavioral, suspensions, constant calls, etc. However, with the start of a new school year, there is always the possibility to learn how to deal with all those school/learning related issues…..
