The #1 Neurosurgeon in the world asked ME for a selfie before being discharged and told me I am one of the strongest patients he has ever seen. Made me feel great. Then to top it off, a dear friend of 28 years picked me up from hospital even though we haven't seen each other in nearly a decade! I am BEYOND blessed for this new life I've been given. I AM TRULY FREE NOW. A huge shout out to ALL of the lovely souls who cared for me. Endless gratitude for my Surgeons: Dr. Peter Nakaji MD, Dr. Zaher, & Dr. Salinas - RNs: Heather, Devan, Candice, Gabby K., Richelle, Morgan, & Erin - PCAs: Kiara, Nayeli, Linh, Jenny, Olivia, & Claudia - Food Service: Debra & Lizette ***Each and every one of you contributed to my healing and well-being. I THANK YOU.

Up early watching my Minnesota Vikings from my hospital bed while waiting for my medical team to round and discuss being discharged TODAY!! Apparently I'm becoming an expert at this, as I am still less than 48 hours out of brain surgery and about to be set loose back out in society (insert public warning haha). Thank you all for the love sent and GO VIKES!

As I bow my head in prayer tonight (while simultaneously displaying my HARD-earned battle scar), I confirm the POWER OF PRAYER. I could literally FEEL all of you holding me in your hearts and mind. I could also see the ALMIGHTY embracing me with POSITIVE LIGHT. Endless thanks and blessings to you all.

Less than 12 hours until my 3rd brain surgery. I am feeling all sorts of things, but most overwhelming is the feeling of gratitude I have to every soul that has crossed my path along my journey. Whether it lasted a mere moment - or decades, I am thankful because every single encounter and experience I have had on this Earthly Plane resulted in me being who I AM. My most prized supporters know who you are and need not be tagged. I love you all and accept the current prayers of light you send in my direction. And so it is.

Peace and love Warriors! As my son and I get ready to head back to JA, we wanted to send gratitude to all of the people in the states who donated clothing and shoes! The children in the summer camp, their families, and many other people in the community will benefit from all the love sent!

It brings me the DEEPEST joy to announce Warrior4's first recipient of the Star Student Summer Exchange Experience - Rameesh Wright!!! From the first day I met this young man, he has taken the meditation and yogic experience so seriously. I will never forget the day he asked me to teach him to be a teacher. I love Rameesh with all my heart and he will be traveling from Kingston with me this summer to the US for the first time to continue his self-study and spiritual experience.
I humbly ask all of you reading this post to consider making a small donation to contribute to his journey. Peace and love.

The word "mandala" is from the classical Indian language of Sanskrit. Loosely translated to mean "circle," a mandala is far more than a simple shape! It represents wholeness, and can be seen as a model for the organizational structure of life itself ~ a cosmic diagram that reminds us of our relation to the infinite, the world that extends both beyond and within our bodies and minds.
Describing both material and non-material realities, the mandala appears in all aspects of life: the celestial circles we call earth, sun, and moon, as well as conceptual circles of friends, family, and community.
We will be having two mandala events for the kids in a few weeks! Many of the children and I will be collecting leaves, rocks, shells, and sticks, etc. on our after-school mountainside explorations. We will make one large natural mandala outside of the community center. We will also be making some with art supplies for each child to take home. Any and all donations to this spiritual art project are appreciated! More details on how you can help coming soon! :)

Blessings to all of the beautiful supporters of Warrior4! Ever since my children and I returned mid-January from Kingston, the planning and preparation for the next events have been underway; hence the short hiatus of postings.
I've completed the organization of a weekend workshop, an after-school event, and one in-school event from mid-April through the end of the month! Although we did not achieve our initial fundraising efforts for the holiday and New Year events, we are continually seeking more support and providing as much service as possible, as often as possible!
This is a beautiful picture of Rameesh, a humble young man who took to the yoga and meditation practices so deeply over the New Year. My son and him became instant life friends. See you soon Rameesh!

It has been my true honor to serve these children with the gift of yoga and meditation thus far. Each class we have had has brought more gratitude to my spirit. It is said that the more we live in a grateful state, the more the Universe will give us to be thankful for.
