Ah summer, a time when our school admins heads are filled with thoughts of "what projects can we get done with as little money as possible???" LOL WE GOT THIS!! Creating new walking pathways for our NEW TORTOISE HABITATS for our students, staff and families to have better access to our awesome education animals!! High School Physical Science class FINAL EXAM ROCKET PROJECT LAUNCH DAY!!! Students had to design and build their own working model rockets in cooperative groups, AND LAUNCH them, some over 1000 Ft high!! Combining multiple units of study from our awesome year such as Periodic Table of Elements, chemical reactions, space and astronomy, simple and complex machines, geology, and much more!! Our younger grade students all got to watch and cheer them on!! They LOVED IT!! Hands on science at its best, everyone got an "A" with a successful launch and recovery!!

Wilderness Skills High School elective preparing for KAYAK TRIP NEXT WEEK!! Lots of training and prep beforehand, but it's ALL worth it once you get out on the water!! Hands on learning at its BEST!!
