WOWW Gathering this Thursday, April 17 at the District in north Scottsdale.
I am thrilled that we will be gathering this week to share a time of encouragement and community. As you know, I have made a commitment to fast and pray for 10 days out of every month in 2025. By doing so, I have been able to safeguard my joy despite the numerous challenges my family and I have encountered over the last two years. According to Scripture, the joy of the Lord serves as our strength, and we are instructed to derive joy from the various trials we face. The key to experiencing this transformative power lies in putting the Word into practice, rather than merely listening to it. This week, we will delve into this topic at our WOWW Life Group gathering.

What sparks a journey towards self-love and acceptance? Recognizing that self-hatred often stems from a cycle of negative self-perception, we can begin to unravel its roots. Various factors can contribute to this mindset, including childhood experiences, toxic relationships, and environmental triggers. By acknowledging these influences and seeking support, we can work towards cultivating a more compassionate and empowered relationship with ourselves. Do you feel worthy of love, care, and acceptance? Reflect on your self-talk: are you kind and encouraging, or critical and dismissive? Typical self-hatred thoughts might include self-doubt, self-criticism, and negative self-labeling. What if, instead, you could reframe these thoughts with kindness, understanding, and patience? Consider this prayer as a starting point for transformation: Lord Jesus, guide me towards self-love and acceptance. Heal my heart with unconditional love and redemption. Amen.

Balance out your carb-rich sushi rice with a side of protein-packed edamame. Green soy bean has 9 g of protein and roughly 100 calories in a ½ cup serving. What’s more, you’ll also get a dose of fiber, potassium, and vitamin A.

Power up your protein: Whip up a batch of this wasabi edamame dip
Ingredients
2 tablespoon sesame seeds
2 cups shelled edamame cooked
1 clove garlic
1 teaspoon prepared wasabi
⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
⅛ teaspoon fine sea salt
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 tablespoon soy sauce or tamari sauce
1 tablespoon water
1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
Add the sesame seeds to the bowl of a mini food processor. Process until smooth, about 30 seconds.
Add edamame and garlic. Blend for about 15 seconds.
Push down sides and add remaining ingredients. Process until smooth. Adjust seasoning as desired. Enjoy!
