I’m not going to give you a some big pep talk about crushing the year and making 2024 the best year ever.

Instead, I’d love to use the last words I post in 2023 to help you consider this :

💫 If you had no one else around to compare your progress to, how proud would you be with the growth you’ve made this year???

BE THAT PROUD!

Be so proud of yourself and everything you’ve done.

The New Year is NOT a time where you change everything, and your world is forever different.

It’s just another day.

And REAL change comes from stacking LOTS of days.

What creates the most change is celebrating yourself knowing that Progress IS Progress.. and consistent progress leads you to FREEDOM, OPTIONS, HAPPINESS, HEALTH, & WEALTH.

Duces UP ✌🏽 to all the energy and attention spent comparing yourself to someone else and judging yourself against another person’s journey.

Let’s close out this year with a SMILE, knowing you’re alive and capable of more.

Whatever happened this year could very well be the biggest blessing you have yet to understand.

Life is wild.

You’re doing great!

The world has gotten a little too serious for me.

Social media is the new Fear Invoking News Channel.

It’s either WAY too much info, or WAY to much controversial options.

There are so many shiny objects that we forgot that social media is about sharing the moments - NOT creating moments to share.

Most of us are out here doing things because we think it will help to get us noticed/build a revenue stream.

After six months of instilling ruthless & healthy boundaries I’m happy to enter 2024 feeling more grounded than I’ve ever been.

Doing things for me, because it feels like what I’m called to do.

I don’t care what you accomplished this year.
I care about whether or not you’re happy and fulfilled with your life.
I care about the secret pain you’re hiding and not talking about.
I care about helping you release doubts that you’ve held you back from greatness.
I care about you having the life that you’ve always wanted.
I care about you living a life of alignment (aka - authenticity & integrity)

I care about you.

And I want you to know that you are loved, seen, and supported.

You don’t have to list off your wins to get my attention.

I invite you to take a long look at yourself tonight in the mirror, and anchor in the truth that NO ONE is like you on this ENTIRE planet!

You’re one of a kind.

Knowing how to structure and scale your business means nothing if you've forgotten how to structure and scale your health, relationships, and adventurous lifestyle.

I watch men get lost in the belief that their worth is measured by their ability to provide at all costs.

If you miss the moments that matter most was the money earned worth the price of admission?

It's not a bad thing to be driven and LOVE the work you do. I pray that all men experience that level of commitment to their vocation.

The moment the work becomes the one and ONLY thing you do really well, than you have lost connection with your most powerful self and that is costing you in multiple areas of life.

The people you love want YOU! They want you to be happy, to be healthy, to be HERE enjoying the moments that matter.

They love you for who you are, not what you bring home.

Ask your child what they think of you and consider how little they talk about the work you do and the business you create.

Your work allows you to have the lifestyle you desire. Remember to BE INVOLVED in that lifestyle and not just the creation of it.

You’ll watch an entire Netflix series, even when the first episodes are slow, because someone told you “it gets better.”

If you treated your goals the same way you would watch as your life gets better!

Looking ahead ten years seems so much further away than when we look back ten years.

10 years ago I was ending a career of selling drugs, getting ready to go to jail, and considering what legitimate business I should start.

2 years ago I was in so much physical pain I could barely walk or make basic movements like get myself to the toilet on time.

If you caught a glimpse of my life now you may wonder how those other two stories ever existed in my life.

Our life is a long standing, epic series of seasons that change every year.

When you decide to take a new direction in life, the first few episodes are sometimes slow, rocky, and unenjoyable.

Allow me to say this LOUD & CLEAR.

“Stick with it!!!! It gets WAY better!!!”

I am now open to the limitless possibilities that await me in the decade ahead.

Four years ago I was a wreck.

I spent 8 years of my life in a business partnership that slowly destroyed my identity and self worth.

I don't blame the business
I don't blame the industry
I don't blame my business partner

I blame me!

Over the course of those 8 years I stopped listening to my gut. I silenced my voice. I stepped away from abundance and DEEP into a scarcity mindset. I began to blame. I began to shame. I carried guilt around and wore a sad face hoping that someone would notice me and pat me on the back to tell me everything would be alright.

I completely lost myself.

Thank God my soul didn't give up.

It kept whispering to me.

My soul kept giving me little hints and messages to look out for.

One day it all clicked. I heard the whisper and took action.

I made some of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make in my life.

Like walking away from a business I built from scratch because the environment it was entangled with was toxic for me.

I had been on my personal development path for 3 years at this point and leaving my business (and partnership) was the next and most needed step in my journey.

I trusted that whisper inside.

Today I'm being featured on one of the top entrepreneurial podcasts in the world!

I've been recognized globally for the work I do as a coach and a speaker.

My life is radically different.

My life is full of fulfillment.

I had no idea where I was headed when I left, but I did know that my true calling was out there.

I recognized that I was slowly and painfully dying in a business, a partnership, and an environment that didn't line up with me and what I was meant for.

Truth is I had NO IDEA what I was meant for or what my true calling was.

I took bold action based on blind faith.

The rest fell into place.

"I am what I think You think I am." .... Have you heard this before?

Our self image is often based off of what others think of us. And more accurately- what we perceive others to think of us.

This quandary also often gets wrapped into our goals and desired dream life.

Is your vision YOUR vision? Or is created by what you think will make you feel good based on what you see that makes others feel good?

Are you working towards something that's YOURS?

I don't mean your job. I mean your life. Your calling. How you're meant to spend your time here on earth. What are the experiences you want to have? The ones that call out deep from your soul.

Change is always happening. We need not fear it.

If you are called to make a pivot in your life and go after something that lights your soul on fire and others don't understand.... then go for it!!!

It'll be one of the best decisions you'll ever make.

The truth is, you will never know how powerful you are until you to test your abilities.

There is a statement I say out loud everyday -
"I relentlessly pursue my target despite my location!"

It doesn't matter where you are today. If there is a dream life you wish to create for yourself, the first step will always be, get started!

You don't even have to pick the "right" first step. Just take action. By committing to Starting and taking steps, you will surely reach your destination.

Allow your follow through to pave the way for your greatness to unfold.

Be mindful of what you're arguing for.

Listen to how you position yourself in the conversation of - "what is holding back from having it all?"

Pay attention to your language. You may surprise yourself when you hear what it is that you're arguing for.

If you are committed to a plethora of reasons why you don't have it all, then there will never be room to grow and experience that which you most desire.

If today was a mood....

I’m writing this on the other side of what felt like a massive wave of depression. Starting in mid November and going through December I found myself in a real funk!

My energy was low, my thoughts were grim, my mood was unstable.

Honestly, it sucked!

I am grateful for the daily commitments I DID keep like my morning routine and exercise. Those two things gave me the energy and power I needed to show up for my clients fully and be the coach I needed to be. Outside of that, I was pretty all over the place in my head.

Despite all I knew and practiced, despite having the best year yet, I still found myself going through some SH$T!

And I am grateful for it!!

I am not immune to the darkness. In fact, going through times like this and all the other s**t I’ve tackled in my life continues to make me a better prepared and powerful coach. It sharpens my leadership skills. It aids me in guiding others through their darkness.

I grew during this time.
I opened up to new possibilities.
I practiced asking for help.
I listened for Gods call.

It took some work.
It took surrendering.
It took some reminders of what is real and what fears are being imagined.

Everyday I wake up is like winning the lottery. If there’s one thing I’ll never forget about this experience, it’s that I KNOW I would never trade my life tomorrow for all the riches in the world, today. Being reminded of this fact helped me sink deep into the truth that I have everything I need and more, right now. My awakening everyday is like winning the lottery, because I would never trade my life for the lottery winnings.

Forget about Balance.

Focus on Presence!

Focus on your where you place your Attention.

A core value for me, as a man, is to be fully present in all the moments of life. When I am with my wife, my son, my clients, my team, myself.... no matter what, I practice intentional presence.

Attention is our greatest commodity.

Be intentional with where you lend yours. Make sure to give your relationships and the feelings you want to experience in life the attention they crave.

The quality of your attention will always override the quantity of your attention.

The game a balance can be illusive. The truth is, everything is integrated. And without the proper attention, anything in our lives can fall apart.

Health, wealth, and happiness is accelerated through a strong ability to master work-life integration. This happens with ease when you are fully present in your life.
