This year the American Heart Association is having the Phoenix Heart Walk virtually. It will take place on March 13, 2021. You can participate from anywhere you are at. You will have the opportunity to learn new skill sets and test taking strategies while attending multiple education sessions including a live NCLEX-RN Review. The Annual Convention will be a place where you can network with students across the USA; gain skills to manage state and local chapters; master test taking skills while learning clinical judgement—and much, much more! ⚠️Who doesn’t love FREE opportunities⚠️

This is a free event for students soon to seek employment in the medical field.

It is an opportunity for students to practice and prepare for upcoming interviews, as well as provide panelists and students the opportunity to not only ask questions but build confidence as well.

We all know how stressful and uncomfortable interviews can be. And being under stress can manifest itself in many ways. However, what can students do in that acute moment?

✅What techniques can students use to meter that physiological response?

✅While in an interview, what coping skills can you offer that might help students present themselves in a way that would be desirable to an employer?

✅How should they dress?

✅Is Camera set up important?

✅What should be done in preparation?

✅Should the person being interviewed have their own questions prepared? Why or why not?

All these questions and more will be answered during these Mock Interviews!

Panelists include: Professor Anthony Ferdaise, Professor Janet Boury, Bonnie Allen of Student Services and several local industry professionals actively looking for new employees.

This is an excellent opportunity to brush up on interview techniques as well as network with individuals who are looking for new grads!

Attention all current semester 6 & 7 Students (Block 2 & 3)

!! WE NEED YOU!

Brett Calabro, President of the SNA, Kim Barnes, Vice President and Fatimoh Jagun, Treasurer, are all graduating in December! While this is amazing and exciting news, this means these offices will be vacant, come December. If you have ever thought about getting involved in student leadership… Here is your chance!

These roles are a phenomenal opportunity for someone to build relationships and forge great and lasting bonds! We would like to extend a special invitation to anyone who is interested in the role of:

· President

· Vice President

· Treasurer

Please take the time to review the following information. It should answer questions relating to Eligibility, The Submission Process, and Voting.

Eligibility:

All candidates must meet the following criteria prior to submitting their bid:

A. Officers must be members of the SNA

B. An officer must have a cumulative semester grade of 2.5 or above.

C. An Officer must not have any complaints from Brookline College faculty for unprofessional conduct.

D. Candidates interested in the Presidency and Vice Presidency positions MUST be in either Block 3 or 4 at the time they take office. (CURRENT Block 2 & 3 students may apply for either position).

Submission Process:

Submit interest to [email protected]. Please include the following:

A. Office Role

B. Bio/Qualifications

C. Submit Photo (Optional)

D. Make a short (1min) Video with YouTube Link

E. Campaign Flyer (Optional)

Once your submission is approved, you may campaign. You may post campaign material on campus and submit for it to be placed on the Moodle home page.

ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN SUNDAY NOVEMBER 15TH!!!

1. Official Graduation date: December 18,2020
(This will be on Zoom)
2. Official Pinning Ceremony: December 19,2020.
