We are the product of our choices, so it is essential then that we choose well.

This week, consider and reflect on the choices you have: about your emotions, your actions, your beliefs, and your priorities.

It’s easy to react when life feels heavy.
This week I’m choosing with intention: my emotions, my actions, my beliefs, my priorities.

What intention will you choose this week?

At almost 55 and moving through menopause, I have learned that the real secret to aging well is combining strength with mobility. Pilates gives me the control, flexibility, and balance my body needs, while weight training keeps my bones strong and my muscle mass working for me.

There is no magic. It is about making the right choices most of the time, being consistent, and showing up for yourself in a way that supports longevity. Your future self will thank you. ✨

As I move toward 55 and through menopause, my focus shifted from aesthetics to longevity.

Pilates became my foundation for strength, alignment, and resilience.
Health and wellness coaching supported my hormones, recovery, and daily habits.
Pickleball added athleticism, joy, and a sense of community that keeps me moving consistently.

This is not about chasing youth.
It is about building a body and a life defined by quality.

They say that in life, when you lose the roof over your head, you gain the stars. And that is how it is. Sometimes you lose what you did not want, but you gain what you never imagined. Not everything depends on time, but rather on attitude. Time is like a river; you will never touch the same water twice. Make the most of every minute of your life. Do not look for perfect people, but for those who recognize your true worth.

Have four loves: God, life, family, and friends. God, because He is the giver of life; life, because it is short; family, because it is unique; and friends, because they are rare.

May God bless the end of your year and your family. May He bring you peace, love, harmony, compassion, and happiness.

Happy Holidays!

My heart is full today. 💖
I reached one more goal for the year, my master’s in psychology.

Here’s to starting something new, struggling, learning, growing, and finishing strong.

Thank you to my family for being my rocks, my constant support, and my biggest cheerleaders. I’m so grateful to share this journey with you. 🎉🍾👩🏼‍🎓

Your cholesterol numbers might be hiding something important 🫀
The American College of Cardiology’s 2025 guidelines now recommend adding hs-CRP (a key inflammation marker) to routine heart health screenings, and this changes everything.
Here’s why it matters:
Heart disease isn’t just about cholesterol buildup (it’s about inflammation) 🔥
Chronic, low-grade inflammation quietly accelerates plaque formation in your arteries, even when your cholesterol looks “perfect” on paper.
The bottom line?
Checking hs-CRP alongside your cholesterol gives you a complete picture of your cardiovascular risk, not just part of the story.
What you can do:
This is powerful motivation to prioritize anti-inflammatory lifestyle habits:
✨ Regular movement
✨ Quality sleep
✨ Stress management practices
✨ Whole-food, nutrient-dense nutrition
Your heart health is multidimensional. Knowledge is power, and small, consistent actions create lasting change.
Have you had your hs-CRP checked? Drop a 💙 if this was new information for you!

🚨 Did you know? In Japan, waistlines are measured by law once you turn 40. If you’re above the limit, 85 cm (33.5 in) for men or 90 cm (35.4 in) for women, you’re guided to a lifestyle change.

This approach is rooted in prevention, helping people stay strong, healthy, and resilient as they age. Imagine what would change if we all treated health coaching as a first step instead of a last resort.

Your health is not just about numbers, it’s about building habits that keep you energized and confident in your body for years to come. ✨

💡 Curious? Let’s talk about how small, sustainable changes can transform your health long-term.

Pickleball plus Pilates equals power and play ☕🏓
After two years of dealing with low back pain and piriformis syndrome, Pilates was the only thing that got me back on the court without pain This article from The Core totally nails it A strong core really does let you chase the ball and sip your coffee at the same time

I always told my kids “there’s no workout that can fix a bad diet.” 🤓 Looks like I had a good point and didn’t even know it at the time.

A new study in PNAS shows that total energy expenditure stays pretty consistent across different income levels, but obesity rates do not.

As Dr. Dariush Mozaffarian from Tufts University said, it is clear from this important research and other studies that it is our food, not our activity levels, that is driving the obesity epidemic.

This reinforces what many of us have seen firsthand. Movement matters, but food quality plays a leading role.
