📢 AASA Testing Begins This Week! ✏️

Sevilla West Spartans are ready to shine! This week, our students will show what they’ve learned through their Writing assessment. 💪

🎉 Incentive Alert:
Students who are present and on time will earn a mixed candy treat at lunch (April 1st) and will stay eligible for our Snack & Chat Ice Cream Sundae Bar at the end of the month!

Families, you can help by:
✔️ Ensuring a good night’s sleep
✔️ Providing or encouraging breakfast
✔️ Getting students to school on time
✔️ Reminding them to do their best

📣 Attention Spartans, we have a confirmed date for our 8th Grade Promotion!

A letter was sent home with our 8th grade students, but just in case you missed it - our promotion will be on May 18th, 2026 at 9:30 AM in the Sevilla West Gym 💛

Here are some key dates to remember:
• 4.27.2026: Promotion Pictures @ SVW, please remember to follow dress code.
• 5.15.2026: Promotion Practice & Activities. Tickets for promotion will be issued to students. Limit of 4 tickets per student.
• 5.18.2026: Promotion Ceremony @ 9:30 AM in the Sevilla West Gym. Students, please arrive by 9:00 AM.

As we wrap up Quarter 3, we want to take a moment to recognize and thank our amazing parents and guardians who work hard every day to make sure their students are present and ready to learn. Your dedication does not go unnoticed, and we are so grateful for your support ❤

Attendance is one of the most important keys to student success. Showing up each day ready to learn, giving your best effort, and representing what it means to be a Spartan all starts with being present. Let’s continue supporting one another by arriving on time and ready to learn so we have the best opportunity to succeed 💪

Join us at home by reading with your child each day, or find time and plan a fun day at the Library, where you can read as many books as you want! Celebrate each page as the successful accomplishment that it is.

We are so excited to announce that Spartan Snow Days will be every other Friday during your lunch / recess time. Here is all the information you need to successfully enjoy a sweet treat during your lunch break:

📍Outside the cafeteria
💵 $2 per snow cone -- *please try to bring exact change
📅 February 27th, March 20th, April 17th, May 1st, May 15th

Spartans, please remember to be respectful and kind to our parent volunteers, custodians and all staff - make sure your trash finds its way to a trash can so that we can keep our campus clean. 💛

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Track Meet Success! 🏅

Spartans, did you know that we have students who enjoy running COMPETITIVELY? This past week at our track meet, our students showed determination, sportsmanship, and school spirit from start to finish. From powerful sprints to strong finishes, we are so proud of every runner who gave their best effort on the track! 💪✨

Congratulations to ALL of our runners who participated - you did incredible and we are all so grateful that we were able to see all of your hard work pay off. You truly represent what it means to be a Sevilla Spartan! 💛

Thank you to our staff and families who came out to cheer on our athletes. It was a fantastic day of teamwork, perseverance, and Spartan pride! 💛❤

Valentine’s Day is a lovely reminder that small acts of kindness - sharing a smile, helping a classmate, or saying “thank you” can make a big difference. We are so proud of our students for spreading love and positivity throughout our school each and every day.
