Renewed on Broad is our storefront where the community can come see and purchase woodworking pieces created through and alongside the work happening at D-Town Vocational.

Cutting boards, cedar planters, handcrafted wood pieces, furniture and more will continue making their way into the shop.

There’s a lot packed into what looks like a simple moment on a jobsite.

Learning the trades means developing good habits, asking questions, understanding why something is being done a certain way, and getting more confident each time you do it.

That’s what hands-on training is all about.

Something new is happening on Broad Street!

Renewed Purpose on Broad is becoming a place where the work happening through D-Town Vocational can be seen, shared, and supported by the community.

Inside, you’ll find cutting boards, cedar planters, woodworking pieces, and other items created through the skills being developed in our program.

But the things on the shelves are only part of the story.

Behind them are people learning a trade, showing up, practicing something new, building confidence, and getting another opportunity to move forward.

That’s exactly what we mean by renewed purpose.

Training looks a little different when the lesson is happening on an actual jobsite.

At D-Town Vocational, our trainees have opportunities to learn by doing, gaining experience with the tools, materials, and day-to-day problem solving that come with working in the trades.

Our woodworking projects give D-Town Vocational trainees an opportunity to learn by actually doing, and some of that work is now available for the community to take home!

All kinds of woodworking pieces are available at our new storefront, Renewed Purpose on Broad.

There’s a lot more behind these cedar planters than just the finished product.

They’re another opportunity for our trainees to get their hands on real tools, work through measurements, learn how pieces come together, make mistakes, make adjustments, and ultimately step back and see something they built themselves.

And now, that work gets to go home with someone.

Our handmade cedar planters will be available for purchase at Renewed Purpose on Broad.

Planters completed as part of group training are priced between $45–$65.

Purchasing four or more? We offer 10% off!

Every purchase helps give the work being done through D-Town Vocational a little more purpose beyond the workshop.

Sometimes progress looks pretty.

Demo days are messy, loud, exhausting... and one of the best places to learn that there’s usually a whole lot of work between where something starts and where you want it to end.

That applies to more than construction.
One wall, one skill, one day at a time.

D-Town Vocational was never supposed to be only about teaching someone how to use a tool or land a job. It’s about creating some structure, some community, and hopefully a place where people can start figuring out what comes next.

It's about a commitment to yourself.
It's about choosing to come back every day.
