While I was on vacation this summer, this book quite literally stopped me in my tracks! I immediately fell in love with the illustrations and message of the story, and knew even my young students would connect with the importance of giving back to The Wild. It was the perfect inspiration for an Earth Day project. We sketched in pencil, traced in marker, and finished with watercolor to create art in the style of the amazing ππ«ΆπΌ

These are the days ππ
Our memory books are a year-long project and a major labor of love, but always so worth it! File away projects, writing pieces, and photos throughout the year and bind together for memories that will last long after kindergarten π

Teachers ππΌ plates ππΌ are ππΌ FULL ππΌ My coworker snapped this photo and memed me and I honestly had a good laugh π BUT to any admin out there, itβs time to start taking things OFF teachers plates, not keep piling on. If we went to stop the teacher shortage, things NEED TO CHANGE!

Need a quick and easy student gift? Why not some hot cocoa to pair with a good book?!βοΈ We have a supply pickup day next week and I realized it would be my only chance to send a gift home with my students! I rushed to the store, grabbed items for my team, and will hopefully spread a little holiday cheer to our kinders π

JUST ASK! A super kind neighbor of mine sent me this book. Her son identified with one of the characters in the book and she wanted me to share it with my students! The beautiful story and illustrations depict friends working together to build a garden. Just like the plants in a garden, children are all unique and have different needs in order to grow! This is a must to add to your classroom library! π

V O T E πΊπΈ I wish we could vote in all of these women, but we have to make do with what we have. There is only one choice on November 3rd. Vote early, vote by mail, vote in person. However you choose to do it, VOTE! Our future is in your hands.

NORMALIZE FREE TIME ππΌ Thank you for this .teacher ! Today I took 2 hours, sat in the beautiful sunshine, and read a book! Did I have other schoolwork to do? Of course! Do I regret it? NO WAY! As teachers we have this immense pressure put on us by our administrators, parents, and even more so, ourselves. Now more than ever, teachers are being criticized for not teaching enough, not helping parents enough, not providing enough. We know that we are actually working harder than ever and round the clock. So what can we do about it? Find time for yourself EVERY DAY to do something you enjoy. Your schoolwork will always be there, but your mental health wonβt be.
