Mastery Schools of Camden

The Mastery Schools' 4th annual STEM Fair brought students and staff from across the network together for a time of innovation and creativity. Student participants from grades K-12 showcased their depth of research and scientific findings, ranging from studies of skin health to the effects of soil on plant vitality.

We’d like to give a huge thanks to our staff volunteers who served as judges, offering feedback and encouragement to our student scientists. Every project reminded us of the importance of our mission and cemented our commitment to student achievement above all. Join us this Thursday, June 4, for a virtual Navigating Stress and Self-Care family workshop. The workshop will provide families of students with diverse learning needs with tangible tools to balance student support and self-care.

Families are encouraged to attend the session that best fits their schedule, either in the morning (10:00 am - 12:00 pm) or in the evening (5:30 - 7:30 pm).

Research shows that having just one Black male teacher can significantly increase a student's future aspirations. Khary Golden, a teacher at Mastery High School of Camden, lives with this reality daily. The Teach For America corps member went from a teacher pathway executive to a first-year educator, underscoring the importance of creating accessible pipelines for Black men to become great educators. The East Camden Middle School Lions are back home with new hardware! 🏆The school's robotics team had a great time at Salem Community College, where they were honored and accepted the Emerging Engineers Award from South Jersey Robotics. 🤖 Throughout the school year, students showed why they are the innovators of tomorrow. We are so incredibly proud of our students and the ECM staff who guided them every step of the way.
