Travel blog with an emphasis on sustainable tourism, ecotourism, culture and language study, especially in Latin America and the Caribbean
I'm a native of Philadelphia and have been traveling to Latin America and the Caribbean for 30+ years. My first trip to Latin America was a semester in Mexico in 1979. In 1980 I studied in Bogota, Colombia and later married a Colombian. We speak Spanish to each other at home and our two kids speak Spanish as well. We've been back to Colombia many times, but I have also traveled to Puerto Rico and other Caribbean islands on my own and have grown fond of the people and the culture.
