Hi everyone! I’m Dr. Elizabeth Greif and I’m a postdoctoral researcher working with veterinary ophthalmologist and geneticist Dr. Gustavo Aguirre at PennVet. Our team is studying the genetic risk factors of coloboma 🧬👁️ and we are hoping for your help! 💫 We are recruiting rough and smooth collies who have had eye exams by board-certified veterinary ophthalmologists and have a choroidal hypoplasia or coloboma (CEA) genetic test result. If this sounds like your dog, please email me your dog’s three-generation pedigree (to [email protected]) and I can check your dog's relatedness to already enrolled dogs (we are prioritizing unrelated dogs)! Participation involves a one-time blood draw by your veterinarian/vet technician.
