Planning for the 2020-2021 school year is now underway and many parents are uncertain about their child's safety as schools reopen. Many districts are asking for parents to participate in determining what the next school year will look like. Districts are also asking parents to notify them of where their children will be enrolled in school for the upcoming school year. As a parent you need to know, that you have options.

Parents have many alternatives available to educate their children. Some of these options include homeschooling, on-line programming offered by local school districts, charter school enrollment, and cyber charter school enrollment. All of these options are great, provided that your family has the right supports in place to make the experience successful.

Another unique service that PIER offers is support for parents who choose to keep their children home either to homeschool or enroll in on-line programs. Many parents learned last spring that teaching is no easy task. PIER associates are able to help parents navigate curriculum, develop lesson plans, design assessments, and meet the standards.
