A proud teacher’s moment!

Michael has been my student since 5th grade, and from the very beginning I saw his exceptional musical talent and dedication. It has been a long and rewarding journey watching him grow into such a mature musician.

This year, Michael was accepted to all four universities he applied to and has chosen Penn State University, where he will major in Music Education.

In this performance of Mozart’s “Rondo Alla Turca,” Michael brings together brilliant technique, clarity, elegance, and the joyful spirit that make this beloved work so timeless.

Reina received 1st Place at the Triumph Music Festival and had the honor of performing at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia. Chopin has always been close to her heart, and her performance beautifully reflects her love for his music.

As part of Reina's achievement, she had the wonderful opportunity to perform at the beautiful Academy of Music in Philadelphia. 🎹

Reina’s performance of Debussy’s Clair de lune is full of sensitivity, elegance, and beautiful musical expression.

What makes her especially exciting to teach is her versatility. She brings a different artistic voice to each composer—from the poetry of Chopin and the rich sonorities of Rachmaninoff to the energy of Prokofiev and the subtle colors of Debussy.

Some students leave a special mark on a teacher’s heart.
Avery is one of them.💕
She has been studying with me since she was just five years old, and it has been a joy to watch her grow into such a thoughtful and artistic young musician. In her performance of William Gillock’s Seascape, Avery created a beautiful musical story—imaginative, dramatic, expressive, and wonderfully cohesive from beginning to end.

Beyond music, Avery is also a talented artist who loves to draw. Her creativity shines through everything she does, making each performance uniquely her own.

I am so proud of the wonderful young artist she is becoming. ❤️🎹

One of the highlights of our recent student recital at Steinway was Sophia’s inspiring performance of Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Prelude in G Major, Op. 32 No. 5.

As both a pianist and violinist, Sophia brings a wonderfully orchestral approach to the piano. She has a rare ability to hear multiple musical voices, shape rich textures, and create beautiful colors in her playing.

In this Prelude, she beautifully conveyed the lyricism, the beauty of nature, and the poetic spirit that make Rachmaninoff’s music so captivating.

Watching Sophia grow into such a mature, expressive, and thoughtful musician has been one of the greatest joys of my teaching career. I am incredibly proud of her dedication, artistry, and hard work.

There are moments as a teacher that make every lesson worthwhile.

Sophia’s performance of Liszt’s Liebestraum at our Steinway recital was one of those moments. She played with elegance, sensitivity, and remarkable musical depth, captivating everyone in the audience.

Watching her artistic journey over the years has been a privilege. I couldn’t be prouder of the musician—and wonderful young person—she has become.

Liping sings Pergolesi’s Stizzoso, Mio Stizzoso from La Serva Padrona beautifully. Her soprano voice is becoming richer and more mature with each performance, her breath support continues to improve, and her confidence and musical expression shine through.
