Blast off into learning fun! ๐ Our classroom transformed into an outer space adventure, with stars โญ๏ธand planets ๐ช hanging from the ceiling and an astronaut ๐งโ๐ landing on the moon ๐. Throughout the month, we explored our amazing planet from the inside out, starting deep within the Earthโs core ๐, moving through the hot, squishy mantle, and up to the crust where we live. We learned about rocks ๐ชจ, minerals, and even meteorites from space, and discovered how powerful natural events like volcanoes ๐ and earthquakes shape our world. We explored different landforms including mountains โฐ๏ธ, deserts ๐๏ธ , forests ๐ณ, jungles, beaches ๐, and caves, and learned that water covers much of our Earth, making it the โblue planet.โ ๐ We also talked about how land is home to people, animals, and many habitats. In our classroom, we added a volcano model ๐ and recycle boxes to help children understand how the Earth works and how we can take care of it. As we celebrated Earth Day, we practiced ways to protect our planet by learning to reduce, reuse, recycle, and compost, helping children understand that even small actions can make a big difference! ๐โจ Preschoolers also learned the letters E and Q, and practiced counting numbers 15 and 16.

What a splashy adventure into our pond life theme! This month, preschoolers explored the wonderful world of pond habitats, learning about plants like cattails, lily pads, and water lilies, and discovering animals such as frogs ๐ธ, ducks ๐ฆ, swans ๐ฆข, dragonflies, snails ๐, worms ๐ชฑ, and even tiny water shrews. We talked about the frog life cycle ๐, from eggs to tadpoles to froglets, and how each creature helps keep the pond healthy and balanced. Our classroom was transformed into a beautiful pond design, featuring an artificial pond surrounded by cattails and plants ๐ฑ, a bridge made by preschoolers, and lily pads floating with hanging bugs ๐ in and around the water. Colorful insects ๐ and pond creatures ๐๐๐ชฒ๐ฆ were displayed all over the room, bringing the theme to life. Along the way, preschoolers also reviewed the letters F, and D, and practiced counting with numbers 13 and 14, making learning fun, and full of discovery!

Come and swim with us in the pond๐! This month our theme was โLife in the Pond๐ง.โ The color of the month was pink ๐ธand our shape of the month was an oval . Our young toddlers were able to learn about the animals๐๐ธ๐, plants๐ฑ, and the many other things that exist in a pond. We explored the life cycle of a frog ๐ธ , watching how it grows and changes over time. We flew around the center like dragonflies ๐ฆ, using our imaginations and building our gross motor skills. Our group also experimented with pond toys, discovering which objects would float or sink and beginning to understand simple science concepts ๐ฉโ๐ฌ๐ฌ. We read stories about pond life, sang songs about frogs ๐ธ and turtles ๐ข , and even practiced making our own โribbitโ sounds together! We also created fun art projects, using pink paint to make oval shaped lily pads/water lilies and decorating them with our own little pond creatures. It has been a fun filled month of learning, exploring, and growing together!

This month, our older toddlers explored the wonders of the pond and had so much hands on fun ๐ธ๐ฟ๐ง The kids created a makeshift pond and tested out a float or sink activity using lily pads, toy frogs, flowers, and more to see what would stay on top and what would sink ๐ธ๐ธ๐ซง They also went on a fun nighttime pond adventure where they colored pond creatures, decorated their own flashlights, and revealed all the hidden animals under the โwaterโ ๐ฆ๐โจ The fun continued with a sensory bin filled with chia seeds to explore what frog eggs feel like, while learning all about the frog life cycle ๐ธ๐ข To finish off the month, the kids made their very own dragonflies using wooden sticks and even created a glowing firefly exhibit ๐ชต๐ชฐโจ Outside of our theme, we celebrated St Patrickโs Day โ๏ธ๐ by making leprechaun catchers and enjoying fun treats like Lucky Charms ๐ฅฃ๐ This month was full of pond exploration, glowing discoveries, and lots of fun ๐ธ๐งโจ
