It's totally messed up that Black kids still face discrimination in the U.S. Even though things should be changing, it's still happening. โ๐ฝ
Here's what the numbers say:
โช๏ธ 10% of Black kids ages 10 and 11 have been treated unfairly because of their race, ethnicity, or skin color.
โช๏ธ 8.4% have had bad experiences with their teachers due to their background.
โช๏ธ 6.4% don't feel like they fit in American society as much as other people.
If you're going through this, here's what you can do:
โช๏ธ Talk to someone you trust: Tell a parent, teacher, counselor, or friend about how you're feeling.
โช๏ธ Find support groups: Connect with other kids who understand what you're going through.
โช๏ธ Stand up for yourself: If someone says something mean, don't let them get away with it.(Remember to talk calmly and avoid getting into fights.)
โช๏ธ Report incidents: Let an adult know if you see or experience discrimination.
Remember, you're not alone, and it's not your fault. ๐ซถ๐ฝ
