Anthony Evans, one of our Fox Chase 4-H Livestock Club's alumni is in need of support from our 4-H community. Anthony is gravely ill.
He is 27 years old and was a member with our club for many years, along with his younger siblings. Anthony raised goats and a steer. According to his club leaders, he was the most respectful, polite, and hard-working young man. He worked very hard raising his animals and with any work that was needed on the farm. He, along with his parents, were a staple on Saturday mornings at the farm and gave their all with fundraising events.

Anthony has suffered a heart attack and has had three major surgeries over the last few years. He had to be moved from a hospital in Philadelphia to one in New York City with the hopes of putting him on a heart transplant list. A Go Fund Me Page has been established to help with Anthony's mounting medical expenses and alleviate some of the financial burden of his parents having to travel back and forth to see him.

Want to explore what STEM is all about? Then sign up for Innovation Station: STEM Exploration Day! This is a regional event that will be held on August 5th at the Berks County Ag Center in Leesport. We have two guest speakers joining us for experiments, hands on activities, and to talk about their work in this field. Registration is required through ZSuite by August 1st.

Pegasus Therapeutic Riding Academy launched the Spring 2023 session of their 4-H club this Saturday- youth got a lesson on equine dentistry straight from the horse's mouth! Reach out to leader Ryan Frech at Pegasus to start your 4-H journey. No experience required to join the club and start learning about horses!

4-H Camp Shehaqua: REGISTRATION NOW OPEN
This five-day camping experience will provide youth with the opportunity to learn about nature, meet new friends, gain responsibility, and learn to live and work with others while having FUN. Workshops offered at camp include: nature, recreation, crafts, and archery. Other activities at camp are campfires, hikes, skits, outdoor adventure project, and swimming. Camp Shehaqua is a 4-H overnight camp located in White Haven, PA.

Dates: July 10-14th
Ages: 8-14
Cost: $295 (Includes transportation, meals, & lodging) for current 4-H Members, Non-members additional $30 enrollment fee.
