Our Core Values
Every Child Learns
Every child deserves a quality education regardless of their special needs. We believe that it is our collective, civic responsibility to provide every student in our school with the best possible education. Focus on Ability, not Disability
All students present their own unique challenges and educational issues. However, we focus on student progress and achievement in a nurturing environment that values growth. Purposeful Partnerships
We encourage our students, their parents, and our staff to collaborate, to set tangible goals and achieve them. We are active within the region, positively impacting our neighbors, colleagues, and the community. Personalized Care
We meet the vastly different needs of our students through providing blended interventions within our academic education curriculums and mental health wraparound services / BHRS. Our educational philosophy focuses on the acquisition of academic, personal, vocational and social skills necessary to enable students to succeed in school and throughout the lifespan. We have been aiding students with special needs since 1957, marking 50 years of educational achievement and innovation. Green Tree School & Services programs give agency and voice to the myriad of needs surrounding special education and mental health and human services. We integrate experiential instruction, vocational training, music therapy, movement therapy, color therapy, art instruction, speech therapy, physical education, individual counseling and life skills coaching into all of our curriculum tracks
Green Tree Partnerships, a division of Green Tree School & Services, is an initiative designed to assist institutions in building their capacities, through a broad range of innovative, data-driven educational approaches that have helped numerous students make behavioral, social and academic progress. Green Tree Partnerships provides professionals in schools the expertise, guidance, and support necessary for optimizing existing services and meeting the varied educational needs of special students

We warmly welcome you into the school community, and look forward to your continued involvement as GTSS celebrates 50 years of "Enhancing the lives of children and their families."

It's Black Teacher Appreciation Day! ๐
Today, we celebrate under the theme "Black Resistance and Joy: Celebrating Black Educators and Teaching as a Practice of Freedom" โ and we invite you to honor the Black teachers in your life.
Use this post as a chance to go into the comments and tag a Black teacher who made a difference in your life.
Only 7% of U.S. teachers identify as Black, while Black students make up over 15% of the K-12 population. Research shows that the presence of Black teachers in schools contributes to more inclusive and supportive learning environments. Black students who have had Black teachers are 38% more likely to report feeling that they belong at school.
As we mark the 100th anniversary of Black History Month and honor the legacy of Carter G. Woodson, let's recommit to building the Black teacher pipeline because representation in the classroom is an act of freedom.

Itโs Teacher Appreciation Week! Letโs show our dedicated teachers how much we appreciate them by transforming appreciation into ACTION. That means respect, fair wages, and a voice at the table when decisions about our schools and studentsโ futures are made.
Here are some ways to turn your APPRECIATION into ACTION!
๐Support collective bargaining rights in your state. Educators earn more --- 24% more, on average --- where they have strong unions and the freedom to bargain collectively.
๐Vote for pro-public education candidates for the schoolboard, state house, and U.S. Congress. Letโs fully fund our public schools!
๐Speak up for teachers at school board meetings. Ensure their voices and needs are heard by local leaders who decide funding, salaries, benefits, class sizes, and more.
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to all our incredible teachers! Thank you for all you do for our students, school, and community! ๐
