Our adorable PreK 3 Lepidopterists, have been busy learning ALL about the butterfly cycle!! 🐛🦋 The littlest learners received live caterpillars and spent their days carefully observing the caterpillars as they grew! 🐛🐛🐛 🐛Watching every day until they formed chrysalises and the most magical day ever, when they transformed into beautiful butterflies!!! 🦋🦋🦋🦋
What an exciting and memorable day as they released their butterflies into the world!!! Thank you Mrs. Haldeman for this amazing hands-on science lesson!! 🩷🐛🦋🩷

During their morning ELA class, 8th grade evaluated poems about perseverance, specifically a poem written by Tupac Shakur, “The Rose That Grew From Concrete” and Maya Angelou’s, “Why the Caged Bird Sings.” The theme/message of perseverance fits perfectly for the graduates as they prepare for high school. Wishing our Track and Field Student Athletes the very best this weekend! ❤️🐯❤️
Brody and Steven got in their last practice before they compete in the Archdiocesan Track Championships on Saturday. They are the first novice boys shot put duo from St. Martha to advance to this elite meet. We have had shot putters advance but never two from the youngest age group in the same season. Angel, Ayden, Maurice and Antonio also advanced in both the 4x100 and 4x200 relays. Angel also will be competing in the long jump, along with Ayden, who will also run the 200. Ayden is the first athlete in the SMS track history to advance to Arch in four events. We wish all of them well! Let’s Goooo!!! ❤️🐯❤️
