Founded by a group of educators and business people in 1979, The George Washington Carver Science Fair encourages urban youth to pursue academic achievement and careers in science. The Carver Fair is jointly sponsored by Temple University, The Academy of Natural Sciences, The School District of Philadelphia, and The Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
