Shakespeare Competition - High School students from the Philadelphia region compete for prizes in performance. No fees. Prizes for participating.

The Philadelphia branch had a full day with 24 students competing in the 39th Annual Shakespeare Competition at the Museum of the American Revolution.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT – Shakespeare Competition Postponed.
Due to inclement weather affecting our area this Sunday and Monday, the ESU Philadelphia Branch Shakespeare Competition has been postponed.

The Philadelphia Branch hosted the new Honorary British Consul, Neil Tanner along with the retiring Oliver St. Clair Franklin, CBE at the Corinthian Yacht Club for a festive Christmas party. In between is Philadelphia Branch President, Debbie Webster.

3 tables of ESU members joined in the celebration honoring almost 30 years of Oliver St. Clair Franklin, CBE as he steps down as Honorary British Consul to Philadelphia. Honorary Consuls representing more than ten countries congratulated Oliver in their country’s language.

Congratulations to the top 3 winners of the Philadelphia Shakespeare Competition. Ari Strauss heads to NY in April to represent Philadelphia at the National Competition at Lincoln Center. A great turnout for the Philadelphia Branch 38th Annual Shakespeare Competition. Our winner, Ari Strauss from CAPA, will head to the National Competition in April.

38th Annual Shakespeare Competition: We are excited to have 24 students compete on Monday at the Museum of the American Revolution. The winner of our branch will represent Philadelphia in New York in April.
