Join Penn Alumni, Penn Career Services, Penn Arts & Sciences, Vagelos Life Sciences & Management program, Biomedical Engineering Society, Penn Biotech Group and Penn Undergraduate Biotech Society for our virtual Career Industry & Networking Series program focused on Biotech. The field of biotech has led to medical and technological breakthroughs that have improved our quality of life for generations to come. What does a traditional and nontraditional path in the biotech field look like? In this program we will discuss different areas and functions that have converged from biology, technology, and the world around to improve the quality of life for humans, plants, and animals.

Join us for four industry discussions and networking with fellow Penn alumni. In our four-part discussion series, you will hear from Penn alumni in the topics of Health & Wellbeing, Biotech, International Affairs, and User Experience. Each talk will bring a diverse subset of speakers representing a breadth of roles and functions beyond the more well-known roles in their fields. Gain insight on how some industries are being impacted by current events and get practical advice on how to be strategic in your development within a given field by hearing from alumni on how they got to where they are today.

This free event will be an opportunity to hang out with members of the young alumni community in Philadelphia (Class of 2022 - Class of 2013) at the Penn Park Farm! Enjoy beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, and some bites while checking out the gorgeous views in this beautiful, blooming space.

Staff from the Penn Park Farm will be on site to share more about the farm and their programing. Tours will be available during the event as well! This event will be capped, so please register in advance!

Kick off the academic year with the Penn Alumni Club of Philadelphia’s Open Board Meeting and First September event! We welcome all Penn alumni in the region to join us for a fun evening of food, drinks and mingling as well as an opportunity to see our board in action.

Did you know that the Penn Alumni Club of Philadelphia is entirely volunteer-run? This will be a great chance to learn more about what the club is doing directly from board members, and to meet fellow alumni living in/around Philadelphia. We hope you'll leave inspired to become more involved!

Food from local eatery Hummus will be provided along with beverages (beer, wine, soda, water).

Event Highlight: Student Performing Arts Night (SPAN) on Wednesday, August 31 at 7 PM ET! Live in Zellerbach Auditorium ($5 per person ticket) or online (link in bio).

SPAN brings together 50+ student performing arts groups and hundreds of new Penn performing artists for a whirlwind collage of short, get-to-know-you performances. Organized and produced by the PAC Executive Board with support from Platt Student Performing Arts House and the PAC Shop, this night of entertainment invites all students, but especially first-year and transfer students, to get a taste for the wide variety of performing clubs at Penn before entering audition season each fall.

For this first time this year, this event will be livestreamed, so no matter where you are – join us!

Young alumni in the Bay Area! Join the Penn Club of San Francisco for an afternoon at Ocean Beach, the best beach in the local San Francisco bay area this Sunday, August 20 at 2 PM. Come meet fellow alumni, make new friends and bring your old friends. For those still settling into the bay area from new job positions or internships (graduate or undergraduate, all schools), this is your chance to meet fellow yPenn folks and chill with drinks and music in the sand.

🚨Young Alumni Spotlight!🚨

Meet Kevin Park, W’17 who graduated with concentrations in Finance, Management, and Social Impact & Responsibility. Kevin is the VP, Product Development at Healthcare.com, a marketplace that makes it as easy as possible for consumers to choose, buy, and use health and wellness services. His job is fully remote and he lives in NYC. Kevin also advises a couple of startups and is the Technology Chair for and is on the Board of Directors of PennPAC, a pro-bono consulting group that connects Penn alumni to nonprofits across the country.

Kevin’s advice for other young alums trying to navigate life outside of Penn: keep in close contact with your networks from Penn. Some of the most exciting and interesting opportunities usually come from other Penn alumni.

A fun fact about Kevin: he picked up cocktail mixology since graduating and now has aspirations to open up his own speakeasy in the near future.
