We were talking about Sauca, or cleanliness in philosophy class on Tuesday night. While Sauca is much more than keeping things neat and tidy, that is a part of it. External clutter and internal clutter are related.

One of the things we talked about was making the bed in the morning, first thing when you get up. Some people make the bed and others don’t. But it reminded me of this video. It’s a commencement address by admiral McRaven if the university of Texas for the class of 2014.

I hope you enjoy it!

How did it get to be November already? Thanksgiving is right around the corner. I am so grateful that I will be able to host dinner at my house this year, again!

My local newsfeed is running a "30 Days of Gratitude" feature. They started with this story of a man who wanted to be a singer but lost his voice in an accident. But, somehow, he still manages to find gratitude in the fact that he can still pursue his music through playing the piano. You can read it here: https://patch.com/pennsylvania/doylestown/s/hwc5q/opera-singer-died-but-lives-on-as-pianist-30-days-of-gratitude?utm_term=article-slot-1&utm_source=newsletter-daily&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=newsletter

What are you grateful for?

Patch observes "30 Days Of Gratitude" from Nov. 1-30. First, a story of gratitude from a man who lost his golden voice, a ticket to The Met.
