Earlier this spring, our Commerce ELC Pre K learners celebrated the end of their unit studying restaurants! π½οΈ
They created menus, designed their own aprons, and became little chefs, waiters, hosts, and managers to bring their Classroom 2 Cafe to life!
We invited families to the "grand opening" where the students served appetizers, pizzas, and dessert! π

Early Learning Center teams gathered for a development day to learn about brain development, culture & biases, and generational trauma from NeuroLogic by Lakeside! π§
We discussed how to navigate these topics and their implications on early childhood education so we can better serve our child care families and communities. π

Our Roxborough YMCA Early Learning Center had a guest reader last week! We welcomed Rep. Tarik Khan to our Pre-K Counts classroom to read a great book and meet our incredible staff.

Our student scientists at the Northeast Family YMCA Early Learning Center had so much fun creating their very own volcanoes! ππ§ͺ
They used recycled water bottles and playdough to create realistic scenes before watching their volcanoes erupt!
