What a day!!

For the last 4 years, AB Day Elementary School has been one of the schools that 🩷Rho Theta Omega Chapter 💚 has supported through our CHiPP program. We have provided snacks for the students over the weekends and extended breaks as part of Alpha Kappa Alpha’s international initiative to combat food insecurity.

This year, the Philadelphia Eagles Organization, in partnership with the Philadelphia Art Mural Program, selected A. B. Day as the recipient of a playground upgrade, a sensory room, and a mural. Given our partnership with the school, we were invited to participate.

Special thanks to Principal Karen White (Rho Theta Omega Chapter member) for including us; to Ms. Wanda Roberts, our AB Day CHiPP lead; and to all the Rho Theta Omega chapter members who have served on the AB Day CHiPP committee.

As a community built on a foundation of strength, leadership, and mutual support, we, as Alpha Kappa Alpha® women, pause this Memorial Day to acknowledge the brave individuals who have made valiant sacrifices. True leadership is defined by service to others, and today, we remember the ultimate service of those fallen.

We hold their courage in our hearts and extend our gratitude and respect for all who bravely lived and fought for the freedoms we are privileged to uphold every day.

On May 22, 1988, Rho Theta Omega Chapter became the 100th chapter chartered in the Notable North Atlantic Region. We are forever indebted to the 59 dynamic charter members of our chapter, many of whom are still active in our chapter and in the communities we serve. 🩷💚
