☝🏽Make sure you are matched with the actual or ride that you ordered. Here are a few safety tips:

AS A PASSENGER:
🌪 Check the vehicle’s license plate to confirm it’s the same one listed on your app
🌪 Make sure the vehicle is the right make/model/color that is on your app for your pick up
🌪 Ask the driver who he/she is picking up
🌪 Ask the driver what his/her name is and make sure his/her face matches the picture on your app
🌪 Make sure the child lock is OFF
🌪 Ask the driver to confirm the drop off location 🌪Never volunteer any of this information first; let the driver provide the answers to the questions
🌪 Wear your seatbelt once you are safely inside the vehicle
🌪 Follow along with the GPS on your app to make sure the driver is going in the right direction and ask questions if you think he/she is not
🌪 Keep your phone charged and ready in case you need to make an emergency call or send an emergency text 🌪 Always be aware of your surroundings and those that are going in and out of the vehicle if you have chosen to share your ride with other passengers along the way

AS A DRIVER:
🌪 Keep doors locked at all times until you are ready to let passengers in or out of your vehicle
🌪 Crack the window some to ask the passenger his/her name
🌪 Ask the passenger to confirm their drop off location
🌪 If a picture is available, make sure it is the passenger you are picking up
🌪 If someone called a Lyft or Uber ride for another person, ask the passenger to confirm the name on the account
🌪 Leave these questions open ended for the passenger to answer before he/she enters your vehicle
🌪 Be aware of your surroundings, both inside & outside of your vehicle
