Philly’s British Pie Shop was our choice for a delicious afternoon treat of millionaire shortbread. Plus, picked up some frozen pasties for dinner. Yum!!

Our choice for a South Philly lunch?
A hot Italian from the newly reopened Mancuso’s. Best hoagie I’ve had in a while. My son enjoyed it so much that he made a return visit the following day!😂

There’s Always a Philly Connection!
I know Alexander Hamilton was a NY guy, but since so many of his important moments happened in Philadelphia, I say we have some claim. If heading to NYC via the Lincoln Tunnel take a few minutes to stop at Weehawken to visit the site of the notorious dueling grounds where the fatal shot took place.

There’s Always A Philly Connection!
Although Audubon’s only remaining home in the US is located just outside Philadelphia, (where it is now a terrific museum!) he died and was buried in Trinity Church Cemetery in New York City. Forty years after his death his simple grave was replaced by this elaborate white stone cross featuring carved birds on one side and mammals on the other. Look for bird murals in the nearby neighborhood.
