Script Your Future is a national campaign to raise awareness about the importance of medication adherence as a vital step toward better health outcomes.
Half of the 3.2 billion annual prescriptions dispensed in the United States are not taken as prescribed. Numerous studies have shown that patients with chronic conditions adhere only to 50-60 percent of medications as prescribed, despite evidence that medication therapy improves life expectancy and quality of life. Approximately 125,000 deaths per year in the United States are linked to medication
