If you’ve ever been in Merion Hall, you’ve probably witnessed a wrap-around line of students at Einstein Bros. Bagels, located in the atrium on the first floor.
Einstein’s has been a breakfast staple on the St. Joe’s campus for over 10 years, providing bagel sandwiches, bakery items and a deluxe coffee menu.
But now, Hawk Hill is looking to freshen things up.
Freshëns, a dining destination originally located on the University City campus, is now replacing Einstein Bros. Bagels.
Sade Sobande, resident district manager for administrative services, said this update follows the priority of “meeting student needs.”
“We hope students, staff and faculty view this change as an exciting enhancement to the dining experience,” Sobande wrote in an email to The Hawk. “Freshëns brings added flexibility, nutritious choices and a wider mix of flavors, all while maintaining the speed and convenience the campus community values.”

Happy Cinco de Mayo! 💥🌯
Various restaurants throughout Philadelphia have exclusive discounts and are hosting parties to celebrate this special day. Check out some of them below⬇️
🌮.mictlan.mx is serving $4 tacos from 4PM until close at Gather Food Hall. The FIFA Cinco de Mayo Party (free and open to the public) starts at the same location at 5PM and runs until 9PM!
🍋🟩 is hosting a Cinco de Mayo celebration with $8 margaritas and $6 Mexican lager specials. There will be a DJ and activities for kids and the event runs from 3PM to 10PM.
