We focus our work on local, sustainable design/build projects in at-risk communities in State College, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, or other surrounding areas.

Together we will fundraise, coordinate, and participate in small, weekend-long trips to carry out these projects. Please contact [email protected] or visit psugb.org if you'd like some more information or to get involved!

Proud to announce that Build Brigades won the "Committees Choice Award" at the 2017 CANStruction Event! Build Brigades and the other teams who participated truly helped the State College Food Bank: the bank will receive 13,134 cans of much needed product -- the equivalent of at least 9,000 meals. In addition, $12,500 was raised for the bank! Wow! Thank you to all who were involved and supported this awesome cause. Can't wait for next year!

Check out the progress on the earthship greenhouse at the Norris Square Neighborhood Project! This awesome stop-motion video was filmed by a 3D-printed robot made by one of the volunteers! So far, the foundation has been dug out and the first row of tires is laid.

As we wrap up our very first semester as a new local initiative, we would like to thank everyone who has helped make Build Brigades a success thus far. We're looking forward to all that the future for Build Brigades holds! Stay tuned for updates on future trips to our Pittsburgh and Philadelphia projects, and have a fantastic winter break!!
