Light changes everything. ☀️
A step to the side, a hand in the air, a cloud passing overhead, and suddenly the shadow looks completely different.
That is exactly what makes our Lights & Shadows study so fascinating. Children are noticing that light has direction, shadows have shape, and movement can transform what they see in an instant.
This week, the playground became part science lab, part dance floor, and part experiment in noticing the world a little more closely. ✨

🍎 Our Apple Study! 🍎

We had a bushel of fun learning all about apples! Our classrooms explored apples in so many hands-on and meaningful ways:

🍏 Sorted apples by color and explored patterns
📚 Added apple-themed books to our classroom libraries
📏 Measured “How Many Apples Tall Are We?”
✂️ Strengthened fine motor skills by cutting apples
🔬 Investigated the parts of an apple through science discovery
🌋 Made apple volcanoes and explored exciting reactions
🍎 And finally, we put our learning—and our apples—to delicious use by making homemade applesauce!

The best part? We got to enjoy our homemade applesauce together for snack! 😋

From sorting and measuring to experimenting and tasting, our Apple Study was a delicious way to learn through play, discovery, and hands-on investigation! ❤️🍎

ALL ABOUT ME ✨

Our preschoolers worked hard creating their All About Me family posters and then proudly presented them to their classmates.

From choosing what to include to talking about the people and things that matter most to them, this experience supported family involvement, self expression, confidence, communication, and early public speaking.

Watching them stand up, share their stories, and speak with such pride was the best part. 🤍

We had such a wonderful time celebrating **Rosh Hashanah** and welcoming our amazing grandparents into our school! ❤️

Our grandparents were invited to join us for a special day of **reading, sharing stories, and making beautiful memories together**. 📚👵👴 The smiles, laughter, and love filled our classrooms!

It was so special to celebrate the Jewish New Year while also honoring the important role grandparents play in our children’s lives. We are so grateful to everyone who came and made the day extra special!

We kicked off our Professional Development Day at Right Steps of Rittenhouse with **A LOT of cleaning!** 🧹✨

Our amazing team scrubbed, sanitized, organized, and refreshed our center from top to bottom! We cleaned and sanitized toys, rotated toys and supplies, cleaned carpets, organized classrooms, and made sure our learning spaces were fresh, clean, and ready for our students. 🧼🧸✨

But the best part was doing it **together**. Working side by side, helping one another, and strengthening that special bond as a team is what makes us so successful. ❤️

We all share the same goal—to support each other and create the best possible environment for **ALL of our students**. What a GREAT team we have! 💪🏼❤️

It was a huge, successful, and productive Professional Development Day! I am so proud of our team and everything we accomplished together. Here’s to an amazing year ahead! 🍎📚✨
