We are so thrilled that MRAC is included on Roxborough’s Bell! Bells across PA is a statewise art exhibition in partnership with America250PA and Mural Arts Philadelphia that showcases 27 custom painted Liberty Bell replicas across the state, 24 of which are right here in Philadelphia! Artists connected with community members to capture the spirit and identity of each neighborhood.

The Roxborough Bell is called 19128: A Place with Roots. Using vibrant colors to connect illustrations of the community’s past and present, artist Meghan Turbitt invokes the Roxborough neighborhood’s layers of history and connection, featuring natural scenes from Wissahickon Valley Park alongside images depicting the neighborhood’s proud working-class roots.

We are thrilled to host the 2nd Annual James Dobson School K-8 Student Art Showcase at MRAC!

Join us on Thursday, June 4th from 6:00-7:30 PM to celebrate the boundless creativity of our Dobson artists. Come view over 200 upcycled cardboard dioramas
inspired by German children’s book author and illustrator, Antje Damm.

Engage with your creativity in this fun and welcoming class! Students will explore drawing, painting, printmaking and more as they learn and practice new techniques with various mediums and find inspiration to help guide them in their art making.

There will be time for focused projects as well sketching and free draw.

Twice a month, Collage Club meets at MRAC to create freely in a friendly, social environment. Join us for a special exhibition and appreciate the fruits of their labors!

The opening reception will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2026 from 1:00-4:00 PM at the Manayunk Roxborough Art Center, 419 Green Lane (Rear), Philadelphia. We hope you can join us! Light refreshments, free and open to the public. A portion of all sales will benefit MRAC.

Join us on Saturday, April 11 at 7:00 for our first workshop with Group Motion Workshop at MRAC!

The Group Motion Workshop is Philadelphia’s longest running participatory dance activity - continuously since 1971!

This workshop is non-instructional in nature, and will consist of minimally-spoken guided movement structures with live improvised music throughout. People of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate! This workshop will be led by Lauren Pokras and Suzanne Wright with live improvised music by Robert Rudnitsky.
