Daughters of Destiny is a group of mothers and women that are focused on working together to make a difference through Christ.
We started "Keeping Kids Warm Together" last year as a community service project and with the help of family and friends we were able to provide 153 children coats last year. We came together as a group of mothers called "Daughters of Destiny" and are focused on supporting the children and families of the North Philadelphia Community. The Daughters of Destiny believe that “community” needs to come
together during difficult times. We remain inspired by the numerous Moms and women we meet, who continue to take care of the community. We are also motivated by the number of countless children throughout our community who walk to school or the store who need a hug and a sign of HOPE! The Daughters of Destiny started a Girl Scout Troop, facilitate a winter coat drive, participate in walks (i.e. Breast Cancer, Lupus, Suicide Prevention, Hunger, etc.), partner with MIMIC for the IMAGE program for young girls, Safe Corridors, Parent Group, a woman's support bible group, and mentoring. The community is always better off when the people come together to support one another.
