I have used the Covid-19 Shutdown to learn TURKISH!!!! 😁 Why? You may ask. Because I, like the rest of the world LOVE Turkish Series and Movies and I was starting to learn just by listening, so I thought why not actually study the language! It's been an awesome experience so far and I'm planning to write about it soon. I'm going to call the series of posts something like "Extreme Listening and Other Language Learning Games."

Tip
Do you work out*? How often? What do you think is the best schedule for your fitness goals? Do you think it is better to exercise for 30 minutes a day or for 4 hours on Saturday? Learning a language is similar.
Research tells us it is better to study for a half an hour to an hour every day rather than to cram for a test on the weekend. You may actually do well on the test but you won't remember the information long-term. That's not good when trying to master a language. So do a little bit every day and you will retain the information long term.
* to cram for a test - to study intensively over a short period of time just before an examination.
