My name is Courtney Angeline, and I’m running for a seat on the Burlington Township School Board because I believe that CHILDREN COME FIRST.
As a parent of three children currently enrolled in Burlington Township Public Schools and an educator with 25 years of experience, I am deeply committed to public education. I’ve spent my career working to support students, teachers, and families, and I understand the challenges and opportunities within our school system.
My priority is to ensure that every child receives a safe, high-quality, and well-rounded education. I believe our schools must be safe, functional, and fully equipped to support student learning and growth—academically, emotionally, and socially.
I support a rigorous and modern curriculum that prepares students for the demands of the 21st century, emphasizing critical thinking, creativity, and real-world skills. I also advocate for access to up-to-date technologies and resources that will position our students for success.
As an educator, I know that great schools start with great teachers. I’m committed to supporting and retaining highly qualified educators by ensuring they have the tools, training, and environment they need to help students thrive.
Student well-being is also a top concern. I will support programs that prioritize mental health and emotional development—not only for students, but also through training and resources for the adults who guide them every day: teachers, coaches, administrators, and staff.
In addition, I strongly believe in the value of extracurricular programs. Activities outside the classroom help students discover new passions, build confidence, and connect with others. These programs play an important role in students’ overall development and should be supported.
Over the years, I have served on various school committees—including budget, curriculum, school leadership, school safety, and climate and culture teams—and worked alongside the NJ Department of Education to help schools meet performance goals. I’ve led school programs aimed at closing achievement gaps, and I actively volunteer in both school and township recreational programs.
I bring a collaborative spirit, a strong sense of accountability, and a lifelong dedication to education. I’m ready to serve Burlington Township and work hard to make sure CHILDREN COME FIRST in every decision we make.
I respectfully ask for your vote—Courtney Angeline, #1 on the ballot for the one-year unexpired term on the School Board, this November 4th. Thank you!

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who voted and supported me! Your belief in me truly means the world, and I am deeply honored by your trust. Although I didn’t win this time, finishing in 4th place out of three available seats, I’m not discouraged. The top three spots have historically been tough to break, but I’m determined to keep working toward a future opportunity.
I’ll be back on the ballot in 2025, and I remain committed to making a positive impact on our school district. Your faith in me only strengthens my resolve to keep moving forward. This role is so important, and I take that responsibility seriously.
Congratulations to the winners – I wish you all much success. As we move forward, let’s always remember: CHILDREN COME FIRST!

Something to think about…..
New board members can be beneficial for school board change because they bring fresh perspectives, can challenge existing practices, and may be more open to new ideas, potentially leading to a more dynamic and innovative approach to addressing issues within the school district, especially if the previous board was stagnant or resistant to change.
Key reasons why new board members can facilitate change:
Diverse viewpoints:
New members may come from different backgrounds and experiences within the community, offering a wider range of perspectives on educational needs and priorities.
Less entrenched in old practices:
Not being part of previous decision-making processes, new members might be more willing to critically evaluate existing policies and procedures, potentially identifying areas for improvement.
Energy and enthusiasm:
New board members often have a strong desire to make a positive impact, bringing fresh energy and enthusiasm to the board discussions.
Ability to ask challenging questions:
New members may be more likely to ask questions that challenge the status quo, leading to a more thorough examination of issues.
Community engagement:
New board members might actively seek out community input, helping to bridge gaps between the school district and the wider community.
