HOW IS BEING PERFECT NOT PERFECT?

At the beginning of the spiritually uplifting book: The Meaning of Life, the author points out that perfection, in and of itself, is not perfect unless it occurs strictly by chances and never by choices or by God for He would or could never take a chance. What this means for the individual, is that since each individual is made up of such a complex and diverse set of needs which must be properly addressed for each person to live happy and content at any given moment; there is no way anyone can be perfect. This means that God never expected us to be perfect, just imperfectly imperfect. Imperfectly imperfect is defined as the process of not being perfect all the time. And this is not the same as saying we should always be the best we can be because we cannot always be expected to be at our best and we will always make mistakes. But what this is saying is that we should always be willing to make sacrifices in our lives so that our lives will always grow, prosper, and bear fruit. Now, later, in the chapter entitled: And then there was one, the author describes the different need of the human being. He does this by dividing the human being into five distinct parts. 1) The Body- the part of us that needs to eat, drink, and have a need for shelter to stay warm or cool. And finally, a need to procreate and stay healthy. 2) The Mind- the part of us that allows us to be rational or to think. This part gives us the ability to learn and to adapt to different situations and environments. 3) The Heart- the part of us that allows us to love persons, places, or things. This brings about the desire to communicate. It also, brings about a need to have compassion for others and their property or lack thereof. 4) The Soul- this is the part of us that really separates us from everyone else (along with your Spirit). This is where your likes and dislikes are determined, your strengths and weaknesses, and your sense of right and wrong are determined. 5) The Spirit- the part of us that god uses to feed us information to teach us the right approach and/or direction to use in all situations; and it will never lead you wrong. But no one teaches us how to use it. Usually, you must learn how on your own over time. From this part we learn to respect God, ourselves, others, and everything in our environment. Now, we can form a better understanding of the story of Adam and Eve in the beginning. Whenever God creates something that is living it is considered perfect or at least imperfectly imperfect (in which is perfect in God’s eye). But in order survive it must reproduce itself; but must wait until it fully matures before it does so because if does not it cannot evolve to be as great as it was intended, and therefore, runs into the risk of extinction. Now, of the five parts of the human being the Body or flesh is always the weakest link. The Soul is next because it cannot become fully developed until after adulthood. If the Body is corrupted or damaged before it reaches adulthood it will prevent the Soul from ever developing properly and therefore infect the whole human being. The only way to remedy this is to, first, restore the body back to its original state but this can only be done after its death. This is what God meant when He told Adam that if he ate the forbidden fruit he would surely die. Before they ate the forbidden fruit there was no death, no sin, and no Hell. By eating the forbidden fruit Adam and Eve were questioning whether God knew what He was doing. This the biggest sin of all because you must all ways respect the fact God always knows what is best. As a result, we were, in a sense, cut off from God until Jesus died for our sins. Because everything God creates is perfect, He cannot just recreate it or destroy it but must just let it reproduce itself in like kind and then work to restore it upon its death. Always remember God can never make a mistake and must always let everything evolve at its own pace. God will never rush you so you should never try to rush Him. So, since Adam and Eve could not wait until they became adults to eat the forbidden fruit, God new He had to come up with another way to teach us how to make sacrifices in our lives. And from this we would learn how to use, take care of, and appreciate what He has freely and abundantly given us, so we would not just survive but thrive. God wants us all to be happy and content and live with an inner peace and joy that can only come from Him. Now, the author, in the chapter called: The moral of this story, goes on to describe how Adam and Eve were redeemed by God and invited back home for thanksgiving after they learned their lessons well and earned His respect. Now, what we must do is figure out how to earn God’s respect so that He will redeem us as well. What we must do is stop depending on our own understanding and confess our sins and ask for forgiveness. Then reconcile ourselves before God by learning how to follow our own God given spirit and God unconditionally. What will happen then is He will justify us by getting into our hearts and minds to restore them to a pre-sin state. After this He will complete us by giving us all the answers, all the questions, and then help us match them up all the way to the point where we can almost without thought or hesitation explain the meaning of life and salvation to anyone who will listen. Then we will experience an inner peace and joy that we may never fully understand nor want to because if we did, we would just know we would do something to mess things up. This is truly the best and easiest way to get God to redeem you! Life, salvation, much like education, was always meant to be challenging but yet not difficult. What this means is that if we do the work and follow God’s will, when judgement day comes and we approach the gates of heaven, we will be assured of hearing God greet us by saying: “Welcome my children, job well done!” and not “Sorry, but you are too late.” AMEN! www.gfriersonthemeaningoflife.com.

We must learn how to make each other “Thirsty.” You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink. The horse will only drink if he is thirsty enough to realize it’s in his best interest or he will die. People work pretty much the same way. Maybe we should feed each other salt, or at least a big oh bag of salty chips. Or take each other through a barren, hot, desert for days at a time. What this will do is create an unbelievable desire or need to drink. But make sure you lead them to an oasis, and not a mirage, because the last think they would need is more sand. Since we can go longer with out food than water, making each other thirsty is very important. You may become severely dehydrated and die faster than you realize. But you do not want to drink too much and you must make sure it is real water and not some beverage that will dehydrate you even more, to cause death even faster. Also, you may become disoriented or intoxicated, which can cause you to lose your perspective and therefore your mind. The point is, we cannot and should not force people to believe in God. That is a choice each individual must make for him or herself. But what we can do, though, is create a thirst in them so strong that when we lead them to the river they will have an unbelievable desire or need to experience God for themselves. The water only represents life but God is the answer to life. We must let God or Jesus perform the miracles- we can only help. We must learn to feed off and teach the word of God all the way to the point where we can almost with out thought or hesitation teach the meaning of life and salvation to anyone who will listen. Once you learn how to fully embrace God, He will fully embrace you back and get into your heart. When He does this you will begin to experience an inner peace and joy that you may never fully understand nor want too. Because if you did you just know that you would do something to mess things up. But understand this, shouldn’t we first learn how to embrace each other- why don’t we just go and give someone a hug until everyone learns how to embrace God. What are we afraid of? God gave us… Grace- therefore, there need not be any fear. Any and all types of fear can and is what is keeping you from fully embracing God and allowing Him fully into your heart. To do this you must establish a new found respect for everyone and everything in your environment. Remember, God is everything- therefore, if you disrespect anyone or anything in your environment you disrespect God! So give someone a Hug- what are you afraid of, God will love you for it. Incidentally, some disrespect is allow (that is how we learn) but you must earn God’s respect first. After all no one is “perfect,” except Jesus! And Jesus is and always will be the only one on earth to ever live and die “perfect.” That being said, mistakes are things that occur during the course doing positive behavior or because you lacked the necessary information to make a proper decision. But fornication, adultery, and any and all forms of r**e (and not just sexual) and date r**e will always be r**e, are not “mistakes.” They are wanted and willful behaviors committed by selfish people who knew that what they were wrong before hand. These behaviors violate the strict promises or edicts that God made to us and we made to Him in accordance with the “natural” way we should live our life. This is where Grace and Favor come in (hallelujah). God will let you start from this day forward, your last day. But Favor is based on your track record and Grace. For example, if someone in your family borrows a substantial amount of money, to be paid back in full in 2 months and came back in 4 months and ask to borrow the same amount without paying anything on the first loan, you would be more inclined to say no, even if you had the money to spare- Track Record. You would still love them and do what you can but you would probably not lend them anymore money. This is important because when it comes time for God to hand out the opportunities or assignments in His World (Heaven) He will have to base it on your track record, and what you are qualified to do. Incidentally, you can receive Favor without having accepted Grace. Remember, Favor is based on your track record but Grace is based on the strength of your Spirit and your ability to follow it and God unconditionally. You see, whenever you try to out smart God, He will always send you back to school, because He always knows best. Whether you start at the grade school level or the PHD. level is totally up to you. When you make mistakes you can avoid (on purpose) you are trying to out smart God! THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE! If you are not thirsty by now you may already be dead, and only God can save you. Fortunately, EVERYONE GETS GRACE! No matter what you may have done in your past. Isn’t that Good! I did not mean to go to church on you, today, but I just thought that there were some things you just needed to know. GERALD. www.gfriersonthemeaningoflife.com

Racism in America

The building blocks for racism, unbelievably, started to form at the beginning of time. It all started when Satan somehow convinced Eve that her and Adam could be as great or greater than God if they ate the forbidden fruit. The biggest lie ever told. You see, Satan knew that he nor Adam and Eve could ever be greater than God. God gave Adam and Eve everything they could ever want; He said they could enjoy everything in the Garden except the forbidden fruit. Satan was able to entice Eve into thinking that her and Adam needed more than what God was supplying them (greed). Satan’s goal was not to be greater than God but just to gain some power and control over Adam and Eve. God, on the other hand, looks to serve us by giving us as much freedom as possible. He does this so as not to take responsibility for our live away from us and to create the greatest world possible. Yes, He expects us to be obedient to Him, but only through sacrifice in learning how to use and take care of what he has freely and abundantly given us. Native and African Americans recognized, correctly, that the land was a gift from God. Their ability to sacrifice in taking care of and using the land was their gift to God; from whom they would receive much good fortune. The founding Fathers recognized that if you owned the land you could make a lot of money by charging people for it and by mass producing on it. The rule that possession is 9 tenths of the law did not go into effect until after they had swindled ownership away from the original possessors of the land. This would not be so bad except they wanted power and control too! Also, they were lazy because they did not want to do the work (used free African American labor for 400 years), greedy and selfish. Because after becoming rich because of slavery they did not share any of their wealth with the former slaves nor share any of the benefits of that wealth. Slaves were even promised 40 acres (about twice the area of Chicago's Millennium Park) and a mule- a promise which was given up on. The slaves were free but in a strange land with no education and no way to get one. The only job skills they had was what they did for their masters, and even if they were afforded the opportunity to use them, they would be paid just enough to cover their room and board. And on top of this, we did not have the right to vote; so, we had no say so on how we were to be governed or treated. They took and are still taking advantage of the belief systems of African Americans as said above. How badly do you have to misuse a business (and America is a business) to not become the riches country in the world with 400 years of free labor? African Americans have made the American dream possible, yet we are still held back from fully taking part in it. So, why does White Americans hate African Americans so much; we have done nothing but try and fit in, all be it, under trying circumstances. This negative energy comes from Satan, who as I state in my book: The Meaning of Life, is made up of 100% negative energy. And God is made up of 100% pure positive energy, therefore the two could never mix. In my book, I state that when you combine positive energy with more positive energy it increases in size and scope. But when you combine negative energy with more negative energy it decreases in size and scope but becomes more volatile or unstable and, therefore, more dangerous. What we should do then is minimize the damaging effect of negative energy while maximizing the favorable effects of positive energy. We can end negative energy in one of two ways; 1) by isolating the negative energy from all positive energy and it will eventually destroy itself; and/or 2) by overwhelming it with enough positive energy it turns itself into positive energy. Now, the hard part about ending the negative energy of racism is that it is hard to find it because no one wants to admit being a racist or acknowledge that they receive help from it. But once found you can isolate it by giving it no positive response or results. Or overwhelm it by constantly letting the offending parties know that the negative stereotypes used to portray you are not true by your positive behavior. But what you do not want to do is try and combat it with more negative behavior because this would be met with more negative behavior or cause the racist offenders to go back into hiding. But race relations, much like education, was always meant to be challenging but yet not difficult. What this means is that if we see race relations as challenging, we will tend to do whatever we need to do to be successful at it. On the other hand, if we see race relations as difficult, we will tend to fail at the first sign of trouble. We should learn how to teach each other to embrace our differences to maximize the potential of our society. We should be motivated by the prospect of living in a harmonious, happy, peaceful, and safe society that is always striving to get better each day. Thus, we can see that White America does not think they are superior, they are just motivated by a need for power, control, and greed. Fueled by selfishness and fear, a fear that if African Americans ever reached any power or a leadership position, we would try and get back at them for what they did to us. This could not be further from the truth. Based on our beliefs, we believe that the rewards we receive for our sacrifice is ours and has nothing to do with theirs. It is not up to us it is up to God. We just want to increase the size of the pie so everyone can receive a large slice of the American dream. A dream built on the backs of hard working African American slaves. We are still fighting for a reward we should have received long ago. 😀

And 2) supply legitimate opportunities for African Americans. We have always proven that when given lemons we will always make lemonade. How: by enacting laws that hold the police to a higher standard of conduct because they are train in how to protect us and not brutalize us at the same time. Therefore, police brutality should never happen. Also, enact laws that make it easier for African Americans to start their own business and ensure fair treatment in the workplace. Why: we should be motivated by the prospect of living in a harmonious, happy, peaceful, and safe society that is striving to get better each day.
