Headline: Is your "fast-forward" button breaking your foundation? 🛑✨
Caption:
Whether you are rebuilding your life after a setback, mastering a stage in public speaking, or starting a new relationship, one rule remains the same: The foundation determines the height. 🏗️
In my latest blog, "The Wait or the Weight?", we dive into why the "slow burn" is a strategic move for your future—not just an old-fashioned rule.
💡 Why it matters for YOUR growth:
1️⃣ Confidence: Waiting is an act of self-respect. It says your future is worth the wait.
2️⃣ Rebuilding: It ensures your new chapter isn’t built on a "Hormone Blindfold" but on real character.
3️⃣ Success: Mastering delayed gratification in dating builds the discipline you need for every other area of your life.

We often romanticize chemistry, but a lasting life together requires a different kind of "match."
In her latest insight, Charmaine Ashby reminds us that while passion is the spark, alignment is the engine.
Choosing a mate isn’t just about how they make you feel; it’s about where you are going together. Ask yourself:
Do your values align?
Do you see the future through the same lens?
Are you building with them, or just beside them?
Marry the person who feels like a partner, not just a passion.

Is your relationship surviving or thriving? 🌿
We often spend more time planning our next vacation than we do checking in on the heart of our home—our marriage. Communication isn't just about talking; it’s about being heard and understood.
If you’ve felt like you’re stuck in the same cycle of conflict, repeating the same arguments with no resolution, it might be time for a new perspective. You deserve a relationship built on trust, intimacy, and true partnership.
Let’s break the cycle together.

Everybody Can’t Be Helped: Why Transformation Requires Willingness
Yesterday I listened to a message from Bishop Keith W. Reed, Sr. that deeply challenged me.
Then in my daily Bible reading, I found myself in Romans 15 — a chapter that reminds us to bear one another’s burdens and not live to please ourselves.
And I had to pause.
Because if you isolate Romans 15, you might conclude that you are responsible for carrying everyone.
But if you read the whole counsel of Scripture, you see something equally clear:
Discernment matters.
There are people Scripture tells us to withdraw from.
There are behaviors Scripture tells us to avoid.
There are patterns Scripture warns us not to enable.
So which is it?
Are we to bear burdens?
Or are we to turn away?
The answer is maturity.
The Coaching Perspective: Not Everyone Wants Transformation
From a coaching standpoint, here is what stands out:
Not everyone wants transformation.
And transformation cannot happen without willingness.
Coaching is not about rescuing.
It is not about carrying.
It is not about fixing.
Coaching is about:
Awareness
Ownership
Responsibility
Forward movement
You can partner with someone who is committed to growth.
You can guide someone who is teachable.
You can challenge someone who is accountable.
But you cannot transform someone who resists responsibility.
And that distinction changes everything.
When Compassion Becomes Misaligned
There is a difference between:
Supporting growth
— and subsidizing dysfunction.
Extending grace
— and enabling irresponsibility.
Partnering in development
— and over-functioning for someone who refuses ownership.
Even Jesus did not entrust Himself to everyone (John 2:24).
That’s powerful.
Boundaries are not a lack of love.
They are a form of stewardship.
If engagement begins to:
Drain your clarity
Disrupt your primary assignment
Blur healthy boundaries
Or require you to carry what belongs to someone else
It is no longer healthy partnership.
It is misalignment.
A Leadership Boundary
So let me say this clearly.
If you ask me for support, I am going to ask you questions.
I am going to ask:
What is your plan?
What are you committed to changing?
What have you done with the resources you’ve already had?
Are you ready for accountability?
If I have the capacity, I will engage.
But I am not going to release my time, energy, influence, or resources without clarity, responsibility, and commitment on your part.
Because growth only happens where ownership is embraced.
Final Thought
Everybody cannot be helped — because transformation requires willingness.
Compassion requires wisdom.
Leadership requires boundaries.
Coaching requires readiness.
Faith requires discernment.
And sometimes the most loving thing you can do is step back and allow consequences to teach what conversation could.
