One of my prouder moments as a music teacher--if you're around on September 39th, start practicing for your shot to join my student Hudson's sure to be stellar new band! ππΆπ¨ββοΈ

The sloth was our lesson mascot this week because everyone knows if you want to play fast, first you need to practice SLOW. (Mine is technically a monkey, but working on fixing that for next week). π¦₯π’

Week 2 UPDATE: Once again I must thank everyone for the outpouring of support I've received for my virtual lesson project--no words can express my gratitude. After only a couple weeks of doing this, I've worked with an amazing collection of new students on guitar, ukulele, keyboards, and even songwriting. It's been a rollercoaster of an experience that has kept things very interesting and fresh for both my students and I during this stay-at-home period.
That said, I still have not taught anyone on two of my favorite instruments pictured here--and they are feeling a little left out! So if you've got an old banjo or harmonica lying around, let's talk about how I can help you learn or improve (obviously the same goes for guitar, ukulele, keyboards, or whatever else you have going on)--I'd love to hear from you. Once again, I'd like to put it out there that if you're worried about being able to pay right away or even at all due to these crazy/uncertain times, don't let that hold you up: I'd still love to help at least point you in the right direction.
Also, in my many years of teaching lessons I've served as a kind/helpful ear for many of my students as it's pretty impossible to teach someone music (or anything for that matter) if their mind is somewhere else. While I'm certainly not a licensed therapist, I'd like to put out there that I'm here for anyone that just needs to get something off their chest, needs someone to listen, or just wants to chat (free of charge of course). During these unprecedented times of isolation, please don't hesitate to message, call, or request a video chat with me--I want to help folks during this in absolutely any way I can. With that in mind, I very much hope things are safe and healthy with each and every one of you. π¦₯ππͺ
