Last week, I was honored to be a vendor Mikveh Israel - Synagogue’s Jewish America 250th Celebration. It was so much fun showcasing my tutoring business to so many families. In addition, I had the pleasure of donating a couple of tutoring sessions as a raffle item to support the Congregation. Loved being a part of so many wonderful businesses. Even “Ben Franklin” made an appearance!😁

Thank you to my husband Phil Grimes for always supporting me and lending a helping hand. Also, thank you to Lauren Sady for hosting this wonderful event! 😊

What does an online tutor do when they’re not teaching? 🤔

Many people picture tutors logging on, teaching a lesson, and calling it a day. But the truth is, every tutoring session begins long before a student clicks “Join Meeting.”

Behind each lesson is time spent:
📚 Planning personalized activities
✏️ Creating engaging learning materials
💻 Continuing professional development
❤️ Communicating with families
🎯 Preparing lessons tailored to each child’s unique needs

I recently wrote a new blog post that gives parents a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into quality online tutoring—and why that preparation makes such a difference in helping children build confidence in reading, writing, and math.

If you’ve ever wondered what happens before your child’s tutoring session begins, I’d love for you to take a look!

Vacation is a great time to explore museums and bookstores in other places. It was great to see this children’s display of pirate toys and memorabilia at the .pirates.museum. The characters and movie signs were very nostalgic.

It is great to explore independent bookstores from another city and see a welcoming children’s section with a large assortment of books. There was even an old-school typewriter where you can type a note to out, in addition to friendly cats and a comfy area to read in. Shout out to .shaver_bookseller! What a relaxing and beautiful store.

What unique places have you spotted on your vacation? Let me know in the comments ⬇️⬇️⬇️

💻Have you checked out my latest blog article?: “What Should My Child Know Before Third Grade? A Parent’s Summer Readiness Guide”

✨It’s definitely a must read for those who have children entering the third grade.

✨Here is a sneak peek:

Why Is Third Grade Such an Important Year?
Third grade is often considered a turning point in a child’s education. In kindergarten through second grade, students spend much of their time learning foundational reading skills. By third grade, teachers expect students to use reading to learn new information in science, social studies, and other subjects.

While every child develops at their own pace, there are several key skills that can help them feel confident and prepared.

Here is the link to the entire blog:
